For decades, the Lady Vol program set the standard in women's basketball. They were always the ones with the targets on their backs. For the last five years, however, while the name didn't change, the national impression did, at least to some extent. The LVs went far toward eliminating that somewhat lower-profile impression right up until their inexplicable stumble in the Elite Eight. I do think they are in a position to return to their previous status IF some of the issues of teamwork, stamina, and mental toughness can be worked out. This should be a banner season for both Vol basketball teams, IMHO.
