Tennessee’s game at Florida on Sept. 21 will kick off at 3:30 p.m. and be televised by CBS, the SEC announced on Monday.

It will be Tennessee’s second game in a row broadcast on a national network. The Vols play at No. 2 Oregon on Saturday (TV: ABC, 3:30 p.m.)

"It's a great challenge,” Jones said of the schedule that requires the Vols to play tough road games in consecutive weeks. “We're asking a lot of our players... It is what it is."

lmao. Anybody else see ESPN's "Where did they go wrong?" feature story on QBs who threw away their games last week. As much as some us us have concerns regarding Worley, at least he isn't this weeks poster boy for QB ineptitude!!!! A simple open date ain't going to fix the belly crawlers who got their tails handed to them by an unranked UM. Driskel is just the symptom to the offensive illness in Gangsville.

Driskel played like an All American against the Vols last year and ain't done a whole lot since..puzzling to me..hope he plays against the Vols like he did against Miami..and Fla schedule is going to get harder..who knows the Vols may have shot at an upset here..

The main thing we have going for the team this year is FU 's strength is their defense. Vols OL takes most of that advantage away. That leaves FU with a struggling offense...their receivers don't have a lot to offer, their RB situation is in flux and the offense hasn't dominated yet.

Granted Worley hasn't been a house on fire...but our receivers are showing some life and Neal/Lane are getting into a groove. Two average offenses, granted, but the Vols appear to be gaining confidence. belly crawlers....not so much.

After this Saturday, going to the swamp will be a breather.

You don't know that. After going to Oregon, the swamp won't be that big of a deal. GBO!

IMHO, the biggest problem facing the Vols at Florida compared to facing the Ducks at their place is that G'ville will be SO much hotter and more humid than Eugene, OR is likely to be. That may have a bigger effect on the relatively thin Vol team than Oregon's great speed and talent. As I have indicated elsewhere, I don't think the Gators have all THAT much of a talent advantage over the Vols this year, at least in regard to the starters. However, as the old saying goes, "Pain and fatigue make cowards of us all." If the Vols can deal with the heat, I think they have JUST enough of everything else to give the Gators a memorable tussle, if not a thorough beating.
