MOBILE, Alabama — There was still time to enjoy Saturday's 31-24 victory over Western Kentucky Monday for South Alabama players, who received high-fives and back-slaps and the occasional congratulatory hug from fellow students, friends and others.

"I had classes this morning and the teacher and one of my classmates stood up and told the class and acknowledged me,'' running back Jay Jones said. South Alabama comes to Neyland Stadium to face Tennessee on Sept. 28 (12:21 p.m., WVLT).
