I had to leave to go to a wedding after the late pick in the end zone and I did not get to hear how it ended. I think there was 3 minutes left. Can someone tell me how it played out. Did we pick up a first to run out the clock or was it tighter than that? Did we give the ball back to USA?

TN got a couple first downs and ran the clock out!

To me this would have been as epic as the Michigan loss to Appalachian State. A loss you can never live down for all of history. It was that close folks. And for me personally I've been in Mobile working a lot over the past 5 years. I know their history very well. In their very first year of football in 09 and in their 2nd in 10 they played Prep Schools and other non scholarship teams. They have only had scholarship opponents for 2 years. This was as bad as it gets without actually losing.

I recall a very embarrassing loss in the 70's to North Texas State. I would respectfully have to disagree with oldvol59. Anyways....who cares? We all do not sit around and talk fondly of "near misses" we have had against other teams. A win is a win is a win. I will take it for this scrappy bunch of Vols. GO VOLS!
