Holly Warlick wasn’t passing out winning lottery tickets Monday night. It just seemed that way after Tennessee’s coach gave the Lady Vols two days off following an 81-53 SEC women’s basketball victory over instate rival Vanderbilt at Thompson-Boling Arena.

Well-earned, ladies! The average person has no conception what a hectic schedule student-athletes have with school, community service, public appearances, conditioning, rehabilitation, practice, games, travel, etc. A couple of days to unplug and kick back a little might do wonders for their energy to close out the season, even if they show a little rust in their next game.

Without question, this game showed a different Lady Vol Team. They still are not in the class of ND or UConn but they at least looked very good in this game and in all aspects.
