KNOXVILLE —Ryan Callahan of GoVols247.com, joined Vince Ferrara and News Sentinel reporter John Adams on Friday’s Sports Page to talk about Vols recruiting.
Callahan talks about the transition from signing day to 2015.
"The coaches always are putting the finishing touches on the signing class and as soon as the last National letter of intent comes in they turn around and pick up the phone or send out messages to 2015 and 2016 prospects. They just immediately get to work on the next years class," Callahan said.
On GoVols247.com, Callahan grades the Vols on their recruiting for specific positions. For the offensive line, Callahan gave Tennessee a "B".
"On the offensive line I think they obviously could have used one more tackle type in this class. Thats the one position where the loss of Orlando Brown to academics certainly was unexpected for Tennessee, but thats why you saw tennessee continuing the search for tackles in December and early January before backing off from that search," Callahan said.
