UNLV outfielders dropped fly balls on the warning track in back-to-back innings, extending the seventh long enough for freshman Nick Senzel to smash a grand slam to left-center, leading the Vols to a wild 8-7 series-opening win on Friday night at Lindsey Nelson Stadium.

A very good win against a very good UNLV pitcher. Except for the lone dinger, Williams was pretty much untouchable. Great effort and focus at the plate today. Not certain why Serrano waited quite so long to bring in Owenby...but he did finally get him out there to shut down the rally. Great start Vols!
