Jarnell Stokes was the last player out of the locker room. He moved slowly. His words were soft.

If they didn't "fight" when they had a chance....why the heck are we supposed to believe they will "fight" now that they don't?(I seriously didn't think they had a chance 3 losses ago)

Who cares anymore.. You don't see it with the players and the lack of a head coach. Let's just play our one NIT game and call it a season.. Just like the last three years

They can win 4 in a row now or 3 or 4 in a row in the SEC tournament, either way they are in.

If learning from losses to less talented teams are "learning" experiences, then this Tennessee team should be Mensa applicants. It's clear, and has been clear for quite a while, that CCM doesn't know what the problem is or how to fix what's wrong. It's too late anyway. We can not repair our fractured RPI with the remaining games on the schedule, and a good performance in the SEC Tournament is certainly no given. My guess is we don't even qualify for the bye, so we might be coming home very early. And yes, IF they win 4 in a row OR get to the semi-finals, the VOLS MIGHT have a chance to make it. But when have the Vols won 4 SEC games in a row? Exactly.

Newsflash!

If you had played hard every game up to this point, you wouldn't be in this situation.

"It's a long season" is the worst mind-set a player or coach can have.

It's all about breaks coming your way. Tennessee wouldn't have won a national football title in 1998 if breaks hadn't come its way. It certainly didn't have any exceptional talent back then. I know a couple blew NFL careers by going to jail.

IF you cannot beat 2 below avg teams on the road and 2 avg teams at home I do not believe it would do any good to go to the tournament except to keep Conzo around and that would not even be good for Conzo with what he has lined up for next year.

Good grief, indeed! That Vol championship team had at least a dozen NFL players on it. Several of them made All-Pro during their careers, and several more played WAY longer than the average NFL career. If I didn't know any more about Vol sports than you do, I think I would just lurk and learn.

Yes, they had breaks come their way, but so does nearly every OTHER championship team. Those Vols were, hands down, one of the most talented teams in college football that year, and in a couple more years on either side of it, and everybody else knew that except, apparently, you.

there are not enough good breaks, and good luck, to help a dumb, dumb, like Martin, this idiot, could not win with, bird, Johnson, Jordon, james and Russell. The fact stokes keeps running his big mouth, and throwing the ball away, is as big a joke, as anyone expecting UT to make the big dance. let's address Martin blaming his problems on the point guards, in another article on KNS. he has completely destroyed the confidence of both. he will not let them play ball, their total job is to feed stokes the ball, why do you think the dumb -ss, called a time out with 2.5 seconds left and lost the game, screwing up the 3 point winner by barton? damn obvious when they came out of the time out where did the ball go? and which big mouth missed the and one, also which big mouth was guarding the A&M player that hit the winning 3. why not take a look at the down turn in contributions, by josh, Jordon, and the other players, when dumb, dumb, has told everyone the only player on the team is, motor mouth, turnover, turd stokes.

To use your favorite word, this might be the dumbest post I have seen on here in a while, not to mention the most illiterate and needlessly insulting. Jarnell Stokes has more character in his little finger than you have ever seen in your life. He is absolutely NONE of those nasty things you called him. He is WAY too nice to descend to your level, but I would love to see you say anything like this to his face. Internet anonymity is a wonderful thing, isn't it, punk?

I am not a punk, I am a nasty cranky old man, and I have a carry permit, and just like the American express I never leave home without one strapped on. maybe I was a little hard on stokes, I do not blame this screwed up team, on anyone but martin. i think stokes is a good, rebounder, and shooter within 2 feet. my point on stokes, is it seems after he does an interview he blows the next game, just going by history, johnlg00 dud.

broleb44#1437447 writes:

sorry johnlg00, i meant to say dude, not dud. sorry i am not illiterate, i do not take this stuff seriously enough, to insure perfection. it is quite sad on your part, to say everyone i have come in contact with, or know has less character, than stokes has in his little finger.

I don't know anything about your character except as you choose to reveal it on here. You have actually made some fairly good posts on here, but I just think the words you used about Jarnell were way out of line. According to everything I have heard about him, Jarnell just is not the kind of person you seemed to make him out to be. If he is asked questions by the media, he will give an answer. You might not like the answer, but I don't know how you could read what you do into what he says, since nobody else seems to have drawn similar conclusions.

And in your previous post, you seemed to be saying that you could say anything you wanted to anybody because you were always packing. Sounds like a "might makes right" argument to me, which is not a terribly compelling moral case for making sports-related points.
