Wesley Horky, considered one of the top long snappers in the country, spent the weekend at Tennessee on a visit and could be near a decision to play for the Vols.

Horky, from Ravenwood High in the Nashville area, is being recruited as an invited walk-on.

"No scholarship offer yet, but he's getting as close to a scholarship offer as most schools will give long snappers," said 247Sports recruiting analyst Ryan Callahan. "You see a lot more long snappers taking official visits these days. You even sometimes see schools like Alabama giving long snappers scholarships."

Horky's decision could come as early as Monday.

Another more closely watched prospect, running back Derrell Scott, is scheduled to announce his decision on Monday at 3:15 p.m.

"Most of the recent momentum has been on Tennessee's side as far as we can tell," Callahan said. "Not a whole lot has come out of (Scott's) camp over the weekend."

GoVolsXtra will post an update on his announcement as soon it happens.
