The Tennessee softball team may be No. 1 in the USA Today/NFCA preseason poll, but coaches in the SEC predict the Lady Vols to finish second in the SEC.

Florida was picked to win the SEC by a vote of 13 coaches in the annual preseason poll, which was released on Monday.

The Gators received 10 first-place votes after finishing 58-9 last year, leading the nation in wins, winning the SEC title and advancing to the NCAA Women’s College World Series for the fifth time since 2008.

Tennessee, which went 52-12 in 2013 and finished as 2013 national runner-up, received two first place votes.

The Lady Vols are ranked preseason No. 1 in the USA Today/NFCA preseason poll.

Alabama, which finished 45-15 last year, earned one first-place vote and is predicted to finish third.

Eight SEC teams are ranked in the preseason top 25.
