GVX Audio: Gerry Hamilton talks Adoree Jackson, Vols recruiting
Five-star cornerback Adoree Jackson, rated as one of the top players in the country, officially dropped Tennessee from his list of finalists on Tuesday.
On Wednesday, ESPN national recruiting analyst Gerry Hamilton broke down each of his remaining finalists: Southern California, UCLA, LSU and Florida.
Jackson has already taken an official visit to LSU. He has one more remaining that he could use this weekend.
"The interesting thing with his recruitment is that he's not a southern California kid," said Hamilton. "He grew up in East St. Louis. He lives with his sister out in the Los Angeles area now. But the question's always been, can USC or UCLA convince him to stay out West?"
Jackson also has aspirations to be a world-class long jumper, and track has been important element of his recruitment.
"It's football and track for him. It's more than football with his recruitment, so Florida has always been right there," Hamilton said. "But if they don't get an official visit this weekend, it's hard to imagine him picking the Gators on Signing Day. Who will get that last visit is big, whether it's UCLA, USC or Florida."
