J.J. Clark enters his ninth season at the University of Tennessee in 2011, leading both the men's and women's track and field teams as well as the women's cross country team. These multiple roles have earned J.J. Clark the title of director of track and field at Tennessee.
J.J. Clark, who added men's track and field to his duties as women's track and field and women's cross country coach in 2009, has guided his squads to two NCAA titles and six SEC championships in that time. Additionally, J.J. Clark has become the all-time winningest cross country coach in Tennessee history.
His success across all three fields has led to a number of accolades for J.J. Clark, netting him a total of 21 various coach of the year awards heading into the 2011 season. Individually, J.J. Clark's athletes have won a total of 140 all-American honors, 11 individual NCAA titles, and 42 SEC titles. Internationally, J.J. Clark has had athletes move on to compete for Canada, Ireland, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago as well as a large number of U.S. national team members.
