Jim Chaney joined Tennessee as offensive coordinator for Lane Kiffin in 2009. Though Kiffin largely called plays, Jim Chaney held onto that role when Kiffin left and Derek Dooley took over.
Jim Chaney has an extensive background working with offenses, having helped Drew Brees develop during his days at Purdue and then working with the Saint Louis Rams' "Greatest Show on Turf" offense.
Jim Chaney is also considered a solid recruiter.
