Tennessee men's assistant Kent Williams joined Cuonzo Martin's first staff with the Vols on April 3, 2011, after an assistant coaching stint at Missouri State with Martin.
Kent Williams, a native of Mount Vernon, Ill., played at Southern Illinois under Bruce Weber, finishing with 2,012 points and earning first-team honors from the Missouri Valley Conference his junior and senior season.
Kent Williams took his first job at Purdue as a member of the support staff under Matt Painter, who had been an assistant at Southern Illinois during Williams' time there.
