Mike Patrick took over the women's tennis team at Tennessee in 1987 and hasn't looked back. In his 20+ seasons with the Lady Vols, Mike Patrick has become the winningest coach in the history of Tennessee's program, picking up his 400th win with the Lady Vols in a 6-1 win at Auburn on March 6, 2011. Overall, Mike Patrick has over 450 wins in his time at Tennessee, Kentucky and Arkansas.
Mike Patrick has guided more than 20 different squads at Tennessee into top-25 finishes, while individually Mike Patrick has helped his players earn a number of accolades, including most recently in the 2009-10 season when Caitlin Whoriskey and Natalie Pluskota made it all the way to the individual doubles finals, a first for a Tennessee Lady Vols doubles team, earning them a No. 1 ranking at the end of the season, also a first for Tennessee and for Mike Patrick.
Mike Patrick and wife Sonia Hahn-Patrick, with whom he has been co-head coach at Tennessee since 1997, have earned multiple co-head coach of the year honors, most recently in 2009.
