A 2011 inductee into the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, Tennessee softball co-head coach Ralph Weekly's resume speaks for itself. Ralph Weekly entered the 2011 season with Tennessee having already amassed 966 wins and four women's college world series appearances (2005, 2006, 2007 and 2010), and averaging 52 wins per season since coming to the Lady Vols.
Ralph Weekly, along with wife and co-head coach Karen Weekly, has helped build the Tennessee softball program from a 24-35 season the year before they arrived into being the first SEC school to hit No. 1, the first SEC school to make the college world series, and 35 All-SEC or All-SEC freshman selections.
Ralph Weekly's best season at the helm came in 2007, when the Lady Vols finished 63-8, a second-place finish nationally, and were led by player of the year Monica Abbott and fellow all-Americans Lindsay Schutzler, India Chiles and Tonya Callahan.
Ralph Weekly's career began at Pacific Lutheran, before he moved on to Chattanooga. After successful stints at both places, Ralph Weekly became a national team softball liaison, working with U.S. Olympic Committee in advance of the 2000 Summer Olympics.
