Lola, an eight-year-old Rhodesian ridgeback, peers from under a bin of fruits and vegetables recently at the Coning Family Farm in Maryville. Affectionately known as "the Farm Dog", owner Albert Coning says Lola pretty much adopted his family and rather than staying home, prefers hanging out at the market where she has become popular among customers who bring her bones and treats. "She can even recognized the sound of certain customers' vehicles and will go out to meet them as they come in," said Coning. |
