Just hope we will not have to play Alabama or Florida (and the refs) again. Ask Les Miles.

Outback, I hope to be able to return there, with my family. We went there against the Badgers. There is a lot to do in Tampa.

which bowl is the biggest? which one is the toughest to get into? thats the one i want to play in... new yrs day cuz its my birthday.

I WAN TTO PLAY BOISE STATE AND BEAT THE SH1T OUT OF THEM!!!

first lets worry about beating ole miss, kentucky and vandy, and getting berry the record. we need all our fans to go down to oxford!!!!!

BUT MOSTLY CRUSH OLE MISS!!!!!

SmokeyHound writes:

lets go out and beat ole miss before we can even worry about a bowl. too many people start to do this and then get upset... lets hope thats not us.
im goin down to the ole miss game and i encourage all UT fans to go too. probably an easy buy. GO VOLS!!! GO ERIC BERRY!!!

Bloodrunzorange writes:

I agree..and CLK will have the team ready for who is next on the schedule. As a Vol fan, I would love to go head to head with Oklahoma in the Cotton Bowl! Although, Atlanta would be rockin'.....Go Vols and beat Hotty Toddy's BUTT!

chazz25 writes:

i voted for the outback but i cant help but think if we win out that kiff would like to go to chic-fil-a in atl for recruiting purposes..i know we would love to go to tampa or dallas for recruiting also but believe kiff is trying to lock down or attempt to lock down atl.

anybody notice that the more we win the less the trolls come out?

We don't want any part of Boise St. By the way, did the SEC not sever ties with the Independence Bowl in favor of the Gator?

volunteerpride writes:

Citrus would be the most prestigious bowl game and the most unlikely. It is generally reserved for the #3 overall team in the SEC which right now is LSU. However, if LSU loses to Ole Miss, Arkansas, or both then that might just be enough to sneak UT in.

Fryinpansvols writes:

First things first and we need to take care of business one game at a time. So we need to focus on Ole Miss. Realistically, I think we can win out and get a chance at The Cotton Bowl. But I agree with some we need to become bowl eligible with a win next weekend first. GBO!

Pulling for Cotton!!!

HallowedHill writes:

Worry about the Ole Miss 'bowl' next week. This team still needs to improve in several areas - glad to see Nu'Keese make his presence known this weekend.

Go Vols!

I live in Tampa, but the last 2 times we have played here I was in Tennessee visiting family!! And that would be the case this year!! Grrrrr

Speak for yourself... I´d love a piece of Boise State.

I hope it's Outback. That would mean only a short drive. Capital One would be even better.

Cldvols1 writes:

Wouldn't mind the Cotton Bowl but I'm guessing it'll be the Outback in Tampa. I'd love one in which we played Boise also, can't stand the Broncos. New Years Day fo sho! Go Vols!!!

Agree. They will be here less and less as we win more and more.

Can't wait for the Bammers and Ga-tors to come to Rocky Top next year. Talk about a smack down awaiting their tails. It is going to get intense and personal.

Cotton bowl against one of those so called high powered BIG XII offenses. Would love to knock Oklahoma State off their high horse and show them just how overrated they are. GO VOLS.

Oh yeah by the way we need this next game..... BAD!!!!!!

Southland writes:

we take what we can get this year and no we do not want to play Boise State. Like it or not they are a good very good football team Gotta love them building such a program when they never have had much of anything

Southland writes:

I feel good about Ole Miss and our defense against there offense. We have a pretty good shot at it. As far as the trolls. Who are the trolls? The people that actually can see our faults when everyone else in the country can see them. Not a person posting on here except for a few interlopers love the Vols and want them to do good. By the way as much as I enjoyed the game Saturday-it was not the kind of game or team that should cause anyone to beat their chest. Kiffin has to much mouth but he showed class by letting the backups play. There is no point in running up the score on a very poor team that is going no where. We did all the damage needed and then guys got rewarded with playing time. I love that. I love that for the majority of the guys that will never get many more chances to be on the field wearing orange. It showed we do not have any depth but it was still good for them to say they got to play

FWBVol writes:

If Florida and Bama win out and are undefeated when they meet in the SEC title game, the winner will play for the NC and the loser will go to the Sugar Bowl. The No. 3 team in the SEC would then go to the Capital One Bowl, and most people agree that unless LSU completely meltsdown they will be in Orlando.

As a rule, the next team from the West, which will probably be Auburn will end up in the Cotton Bowl and the second place team from the East, which is looking more and more like the Big Orange, will go to the Outback Bowl, but the Cotton and Outback could flip flop.

Both the Cotton Bowl or the Outback Bowl have the same payout so it doesn't really matter whether we go to Dallas or Tampa. I do think it would be neat to see the team in the new Cowboys Stadium though. Either way, unless I win the Powerball in the next seven weeks, I'll be watching it from my favorite recliner in my living room.

people ---the end of last year was nothing but negative. we hired lane kiffin and there was alot of guessing. for the most part negative--- now a few wins and everybody is making vacation plans for a family trip to a bowl. we have to win next week and the week after that and the week after that! it is the sec anything can happen. most of you guys are the same people that talked trash--prior to this spot we are in. congrats to the coaching staff and the team for all they have done and may they finish the season strong! then lets talk about where we might go. i'm sure coach kiffin will say 1 game at a time before we talk bowl games!!

I would love to beat up on any Big 10 team, especially Ohio State. If we dont go to the Outback bowl, then for me it is the Chicken Bowl in Atlanta. That would be a great day of UT sports. The basketball team tips off against Memphis at 4 pm, then switch over to the football game later that afternoon. Of course, there will be quite a few drinks during both games.

Yea, right. They are the two best teams in the conference and everyone knows it. Are you going to tell me that your team hasn't been the benefactor of calls in Neyland through the years? Take the LSU-Alabama game. There probably were numerous blown calls, but the outcome of the game would not have changed. LSU garnered six yards of offense in the fourth qtr of that game. So, get over it. Cry, cry.

hope it's the Outback Bowl. It would be a great bowl for us to attend if we win out. If we win out, we should not go to Chik Fil A at all.

Exactly right. We need to concentrate on finishing out the schedule because, as we all know, nothing is a given in the SEC as far as wins/loses are concerned. We have a few opponents left on the schedule that could very well solve the issues with bowl games if we're not carefull. Just as CLK says, we just need to focus on wining one game at a time and the bowl issue will take care of itself.

Still defending a bad calls? Get over it- we have. Everyone knows that ALA and FLA are going to get favorable calls. Slive has made sure of that.
