Please, don't anyone respond to the immature poster above. It's just some UT hater wanting to get attention, as are all the interlopers.

The game yesterday showed that UT may be coming along faster than anticipated and should be a big boost for recruiting. We should win 4 or 5 conference games, and be well on our way toward rebuilding a dynasty.

Vols go 7-2 over the final 9. Lose to Bama and Ole Miss. Going to Bama 4-2.

Which one, hardrock or RU-Kfnme? I guess you could say both are immature naysayers, one of our current staff and one of our previous staff. Regardless, I don't see our offense scoring many points against alabama, but I don't see many offenses scoring much against us either. Could win 6 SEC games and the other two non conference games.

Alright! Another idiot who knows NOTHING about football. Until we get a passing game, translated QB who can handle the passing game, our offense isn't going to improve a whole lot. But it's NOT the play calling, it's the ability of the man under center. I don't consider a 10 pt loss to the Gators a moral victory because it was a loss when it should have been a win. Florida will NOT run the season unbeaten because, despite returning 22 players from last years team they aren't that good.

No one expected Lane's first year to be a great season, but watching these guys play is encouraging and let's everyone know that once we have a capable QB then UF will be in serious trouble....as well as EVERYONE else in the SEC.

Are you really kidding me? I guess you should be the coach then. Kiffin is merely playing to the strengths of our team. He is not going to let Crompton go out there and wing it around the field and throw 5 or 6 picks. You are clearly a moron. Your offense on NCAA 2010 isn't going to work in real life, so back off of Kiffin, back off our coaching staff, and if your a Vols fan, start supporting somebody, chump.

I think the Fla. game shows that we have talent. CPF did not leave us empty of talent. Just need a QB

Nick Stephens must be really bad. Not going to win many without throwing down field.

we are looking better each week....i think we have a chance with everybody but Alabama...we would have to play a great game and they would have to have an off week for that to happen...but it still looks better than last year....go vols

scott_m99 writes:

You still have to score points to win. Unless we score them on the ground or via the defense...we may lose more than we win

I`m more worried about Auburn than Alabama, This is a must win for us! South Carolina and Georgia will be tough games also!

bippy58 writes:

must find a productive passing game to be able to win sec games. every team we play is good enough to stop one element of our offense. the remainder of the season will be a true test of the coaching staff. if they are as advertised they should be able to figure out a way to throw the ball. the fla. game showed improvement in the o-line but i can't figure out what happened in the ucla game. looking ahead maybe that game might prove costly at the end of the seasonor ucla might turn out to be better than what we thought.

Its a long season and the lines are thin, stay healthy boys and good things will continue to happen. Gotta find a way to pass and catch.....kinda necessary.

Exactly

Bama will be our toughest remaining opponent followed by Old Miss. I've watched the Tide in two games and their defense is really good. And they actually have a solid offense that can generate a lot of points. In many ways, they are scarrier than UF.

Georgia and USC are suspect defensively, and their QBs are both freshmen. Cox seems to be the better of the two and impressed me yesterday. The kid may not shave, but he's tough.

Vandy, UK, Memphis, Ohio are wins. USC and Auburn should be wins due to the 12th Man. UGA could be a win, but Richt seems to give UT (aka, Fulmer) fits. Let's hope this jinx left with CPF.

Go Vols!

If you can't score touchdowns, you can't even win tie games that go to overtime.

Every team that sees no passing threat will load up against the run, and week by week recognize the screen, draw and both outside runs.

volstokke writes:

I think USC and Auburn are the biggest games fo us this season. Very winnable but very tough teams. I hate Bama but I think they win the SEC. Georgia I think beats us as well. We need AUB and USC victories something awful. I was highly impressed with our teams toughness this pat weekend. GO VOLS!

RollTideJoe writes:

I was impressed with your game at the Swamp. I agree, I don't think Fla is as good this year. Your game Saturday showed a lot about effort and passion than last year. It will take a year or two more to build some depth and that is what will hurt this year after some bruising SEC games, but it does appear that Tenn is a better team and heading in the right direction.

JacksonvilleVol writes:

I was at the Swamp, getting flak from Gators all day long until our first drive in the first quarter. First, we stall them to a field goal, and then we methodically drove it down the field on them. I thought we looked great and even though we lost, the team is so improved I see us losing only to two teams in the SEC, Bama and Miss this year. That's it. The team is stronger than it looks on paper and to rock QBs for two weeks in a row is a testament to how strong our philosophy is on ball control. We are holding opponents below average in all 3 games and our running game is still strong. QB is all we need.

Agreed. One game at a time!

Volinar_21 writes:

Running Game and defense look great, but if you can't develop any kind of passing game, you won't win. Especially against Georgia, Auburn, Alabama, and yes even Kentucky.

But we have UGA, Aub, and USC at home! UGA will be the toughest obviously, but these are definitely winnable gams.
