I say 1-3 is best case scenario due to one player that hates worms.

4-0.
Slurp. Grey Goose mixture time.
Pigs will fly.
Hopefully mostly to Vol receivers.
And on we go.

I think 2-2 is about right. We lose to Bama and UGA. With USC and Auburn at home I think we win those games.
AFVol423 writes:
I'd agree with the 2-2 with Auburn and SC. A little luck and GA falls but injuries and continued execusion problems in the passing game have me worried.

They can't win a game in October if the QB plays like he did in the two wins in September. Crompton isn't good enough to beat a quality SEC team much like last year when we had a top rank defense.

Bama isnt playing us at Neyland this year....that game will be in Alabama and result in a UT lose unfortunately
AVolVoice writes:
Tennessee should be able to pull out a win against one of these teams, though to be honest I wouldn't be surprised to see them drop all four games. It's just hard to predict a win given the poor QB play we've been seeing.
South Carolina will probably be UT's best bet at getting a win in October.
DenverVol writes:
It all starts with Auburn. Beat them and we'll have a good October boosting the confidence. We won't beat Bama but I believe we'll play them tougher than most think. As much as I hate to say it, Bama looks to be best team in the country in my opinion. 3-1 October and back in polls.

Unless the Vols can find a way to keep that offense on the field and score more than 24 points a game, I am thinking 1-3 is likely but a decent chance at 2-2. I don't see us winning at Alabama and running the table at home against three decent SEC sides is a bit optimistic. I will root for that, but can't feel confident of that outcome. GO VOLS! PS......But wouldn't a win at Alabama be just the greatest?!!! ooooohhhhh yea.

tell you what. I am 100% certain that 5 years from now I will feel the same way I do today: I am thrilled that we have Coach Chizik and not Kiffin.

Totally agree with the post shopgoss1. We are capable of going the distance if we just settle down. Establish the run no matter what obstacle we have to manoover through and throw short passes occasionally when the opposing defense is not expecting it.
sunshine55 writes:
I think it will be 4-0 (for Florida, lol!!)
For Tennessee, I would guess 1-3 if a miracle occurs, otherwise 0-4. You won't ever beat Bama again, not ever. Georgia: unlikely, Auburn: anyone else could win, but not Tennessee. South Carolina, a gimme game for a team like Florida International, but not for Tennessee. 0-4, too bad! Have a nice day!

Lets see, Auburn, Georgia, Alabama, and South Carolina---------NO CHANCE. GET USE TO IT. But not to worry, Kiffen will go into the FOUR CORNER STALL, to keep from being blow away. Just be real careful of Alabama, it could get UGLY.
Then you have Mississippi, Vandy and UK
in November, you will be lucky to win 2 of those 3 and should post a 2-6 record in the conference. Welcome to the SEC Lois Lane.
And the 12/05/09 SEC Championship Game in Atlanta, FORGET ABOUT IT.

We'll probably go 2 and 2. But since you are so interested in Vol football, let say this about the Gators. If Tebow goes....so does your entire season...and, Meyer is gone anyway. So, If/when Tebow gets knocked out for the season, don't forget to show yourself here again peep-squeek.
Burton4Heisman writes:
I'm thinking 0-4 with Bama giving the VOLS an embarrassing beatdown. However, there is some good news - VOLS will celebrate another "moral victory" for keeping it close against S. Carolina.

Oh my are we just delusional or what? Fulmer would not have lost the UCLA game at home. Maybe the Florida game is uglier, but I don't think so. Also B.J. Coleman is still on campus and Crompton is on the pine.
LK is going to lead our Vols to 8 losses this season and right now I see 1-3 or 0-4 in the month of October. That's being realistic. His past performance as a head coach for the Raiders and his performance to date as the UT head coach don't instill me with confidence. We might be fortunate to see the Vols beat UGA or Auburn, but I wouldn't mortgage the farm on it. Their are only 3 game that I call winnable left on the schedule and I'm still not sure if the UK game is a lock. Every other game has loss written all over it or could easily be a loss if the defense rests on its laurels and Crompton continues to throw the ball to the other team.
The fairweather thing works both ways. All you Kiffin sheep that used to be the wolves wanted Fulmer gone so bad you settled for a wet-behind-the-ears pup with no record of success...only his last name. I'm a Vol fan until I die, but with a non-Tennessee guy running the ship I am not the least bit happy. The best thing we got in the whole staff change was Monte.

I say 2-2 with a win over Auburn and USC, quite possibly 3-1 if we can handle Jawgia. I'd like to say Bama but I don't see it this year but soon, very soon! Go Vols!!!

Anyone that said less than 4-0 please leave.
OrangeBlood84 writes:
Im gonna say 2&2 and Im the biggest TN fan out of all you guys but, im definitely a realist. Auburn looks great this year and Alabama is unstoppable.( I think better than Florida ) I think having the home advantage will alow us to win a tight game with Georgia. They are 3&1 but have struggled in each game. And quite frankly if Our D stays healthy we shut down SC at home

Is that with or without crapton, I mean crompton?.....

O.K. we get it. you think bama is good....and they are but where were you and your rattletrap when we beat you like a drum for 6 straight games in the early 2000's and the tide was in the same position our team is in now...go post on your on blog W.a.n.k.e.r.
