It's 4, the same as the Dawgs streak against the Big Gray will be on October 6th - 4!

No coach does less with more talent than Mark Richt. That's your streak,

5 losses seem to be unavoidable and the Vols have a tradition more unbreakable than uniform color: losing at least one game they should not. Therefore, 6 wins - before the bowl game. As long as that is NOT in Atlanta, they might win that.

Georgia is in big trouble, Rodney Garner is gone and so are the recruits. A program on the decline.

14 - 0 national champs!!!! Same prediction every year. I was right once which is probably more than Dawgday

As of now, 13 trolls have voted for 4 or fewer. I'm looking forward to that upset against S.C. By then the Vols should be running like a fine tuned machine under Jones.

LMFAO!!!! Keep on dreaming..

No doubt Butch is the man and has us on the up-swing. But this season we have no depth at key positions to survive this schedule's top tier SEC gauntlet. These Vols will leave it all on the field against Alabama. But I'm afraid then the team we'll take to Missouri will be low in the depth chart and thus (relatively) undersized, slow, young and inexperienced.

Only because of this year's depth problems, I expect our 3 best chances for SEC wins will turn into tough, tough fights since they come late in the schedule.

A much improved program, but we won't see it reflected in this year's won/lost columns. No bowl THIS year... but save your money for January 2015!

I agree

Baby steps, 7 wins, 6 + 1 bowl.

We'll be better than last year. With a few breaks our way, and we are overdue for that, final record may be much better.

And it's funny how some on ESPeeN are talking about louisville in the NC game. Then they say why, cuz ul plays NO ONE in the preseason top 40. So now maybe we know why coach charlie weak did not want to leave. He knew he could not produce if he had a Strong schedule every year. He is hoping he can waltz thru another lame schedule and get his kids up for one big game like he did last year.

And in recruiting he has one 4 star out of 25 commits and we have 12 out of 24, but of course stars don't matter.

It's fine having you here but if you're a Bulldog fan I think you could have come up with a more positive screen name...Dog Days is an extremely negative situation....

Not sure what you're barking about.
The Big Orange plays the Bullpups on Oct 5. Maybe you're looking at your peewee league schedule?

I'll take 4-5 wins under Butch Slaps' 1st season vs another year under Stooley any day. In this case I'll take progress over the present & I'd rather have this coach buiding a long term foundation for the future than some Cali kid almost beating AL 1 time his 1st season. So we lose most the games...big deal. TN is looking to be "better off next year" for the 1st time in a decade +.

DooshDay said Oct 6 because he is really not a UGA fan. Just a KNS cubicle clown trying to rile folks up to get hits for this site.

It could be 10. The streak the Vols had at stomping the Puppies in the mud for all those years. Ask Ray Goff or Jim Donnan. The Vols had them crying like Sissies...

Jones just has to win about 6 or the vampires will show their fangs! Go Big Orange!

I haven't posted in a while. If we get any kind of quarterback play, we could max out at 8 wins. If we don't, we could min out at 5. Its too early to tell. One thing is for sure, the future looks bright!

UT will win somewhere between 0 and 14 games. They will have to outscore teams to win. Or if the defense can hold down the opponent to less than what UT scores and keep the special teams in check they should win those games. But they won't make a bowl unless they can get 6 wins.

Agreed, I have to add that injuries will likely be painful, and turnovers will result in the other team getting the ball.

Those big grey uni's look better than those power ranger costumes that you all were sporting.

I am optimistic about the direction of the program, but I don't see how we will be better than last year. We lost a lot of play makers. I am hoping for 6 wins, a bowl game, and a foundation for growth.

Thanks to all that came out and showed support for during the open practice Saturday.

Wow many on here don't think that the Vols have a prayer this year. Give Butch Jones a chance. Unlike Dooley who let his team do what they want in and out of class. Butch Jones put them in line and said that everyone will be learning or no play time. My prediction is at least 7 or 8 games. This coach means business. But if you like lame ball. Then watch Dallas lose. Since Dooley is the new quarterback coach for them.

Don't forget that if we hold onto the ball longer than the other team we limit their offensive opportunities.

And if we do finish regulation with the same amount of points as the other team, we'll need to play overtime.

These are good points. This is exactly why I should be hired as a CF analyst. (That's analyst not analist.)
