Darren Dunlap covers the region's colleges and universities for the Knoxville News Sentinel. Before joining the Sentinel, he was a police reporter and county commission reporter for The Daily Times in Maryville. He is a graduate of Tennessee Technological University where he studied journalism and theatre, and a U.S. Army veteran.-
