Biography

Hello, I’m Debi Welch, the Human Resources Director for the Knoxville News Sentinel. I was born in Missouri but moved to the area as a child so Knoxville is what I call home. I currently live North of Knoxville in the Clinton area. I have a bachelors degree from the University of Tennessee in Human Resources, Industrial Education and my SPHR certification. I have worked at the News Sentinel for 10 years in varying roles in Human Resources. My goal and the goal of the Human Resources Department is to help people and increase organizational effectiveness.
