Free to be: Linda Guisset relaxes in an all-white ensemble. The shirt is from White House Black Market, and the skirt is by designer Krista Larson. “This is one of my favorites because it is casual but yet can be worn to a dinner party if need be,” she said.

Classic at its best: A simple St. John knit dress is kicked up a notch with gold accents.

A fashion formality: Guisset shows off a chocolate twopiece evening set. Layers of ruffles give the skirt dramatic appeal. The formal look gets a bit of sass with red patent leather peep-toe heels.

Pretty in pink: An eyelet sundress is matched with a turquoise cardigan and headband. Guisset finishes the look with an oversized bangle and a vintage braided belt, which features an ornate angel detail.

Fabulously suited: Guisset gives a Dana Buchman suit a punch of pattern with a graphic print bustier and polka dot shoes.

Monica Abbott, softball pitcher: The USA collegiate player of the year in 2007, Abbott owns nearly every NCAA pitching record including career strikeouts (2,440). She went 16-0 during the team’s exhibition tour. Anything but gold for this team would be a disappointment.
