It was a heck of a run while it lasted. I hoped for a better ending, but it was a great season and I really enjoyed it. I hate to see the seniors go, especially Lofton. Some of the shots I seen that guy make were unbelievable. I wish them all the best. I hope Tyler comes back, but if not, it sounds like he'll be leaving for financial reasons. I can understand that.

Congrats to the Vols for winning the SEC.

Go Vols

On BitterSweet ending

I'm not worried about the recruiting this year. I think Coach Fulmer made some valid points about the challenges the Coaches faced- losing a week for the SEC Championship, off the field incidents, and probably the biggest challenge, losing half of the coaching staff.
I agree with some of the other posters, the kids we got are dedicated Vols and will be proud to wear the Orange. That means much more to me than stars beside their names.

There will be no trophy presented to Alabama for being the "National Recruiting Champion".

Welcome to Big Orange Country. Glad you chose to stick around.
@vol4good - good question.

Erik has given UT his best. Last night was a tough loss for Vol fans, but from reading Erik's comments, I think it was far tougher for him. We still have another game to play. Go Vols.

On Vols stand behind Ainge

@jimkennedy33-Good to hear from a fellow serviceman. I'm serving in the Army Reserves. Spent time in Iraq. I and a bunch of fellow Vol fans 'watched' the Vols-LSU game in '04 on the computer. We paid for the audio broadcast, but the Internet connection was bad so the audio was choppy. We all stared at the live scoreboard on the web page and followed it that way. It was early morning in Iraq, we all got a big boost out of that win.
I'm a big Vol fan, I hate to see them struggle the way they are now. I've always been a supporter of Coach Fulmer, but I think the writing is on the wall. The program is in a steady decline, and if we are not careful, we could end up a has been like FSU and Nebraska... Good enough to make a bowl game, but no longer in contention for a national title, or even a conference title.

On Fulmer's focus on rest of season
