LiveFaith, please do not leave out #24! DeAngelo Willingham played one hell of a ball game (as the rest of his secondary-mates said beforehand that he would). Had the ridiculous Pac-10 refs not incorrectly whistled him out of bounds, his 1st-quarter interception would've been returned for a touchdown. He tackled well throughout the game, also.

For anybody who was at the O & W game back in the spring, Clawson's play-calling prowess was clearly evident...and that was after having been there for only a couple of months!!!

He's not afraid to be wide-open and to throw the ball down the field, but more importantly, his philosophy is to specifically tailor the offense to the talents of his best players. For those of you who WEREN'T at the O & W game, or who didn't get to see the replays on SportsSouth, the 1st team offense opened w/ a HUGE bomb from Crompton to D. Moore (our most UNDERrated WR, in my humble opinion) for a 70 or 80 yard TD. But the latter point is the one that means the most to me. I felt that Cutcliffe & Sanders failed to recognize or utilize some of the talent that they had available to them. I don't think that will happen w/ Clawson. Look at what he did at Villanova w/ Brian Finneran and then Brian Westbrook.

I'm very excited about the things that i've seen and heard from Clawson so far. I appreciate where he's come from, and I think his specific journey will allow him appreciate even more where he is now. I look forward to watching the Vols offense flourish under Clawson the same way the basketball program has flourished under Bruce Pearl. I am VERY EAGER to see in begin to unfold IN PERSON in just 6 more days!!! GO VOLS!

On Poll: Who will be Tennessee's Big Three in football on offense?

Berry may run a 4.33, but according to former WR coach Trooper Taylor, Kenny O'Neal can run as fast as a spotted monkey, or something like that! :-p

IBleedOrange444,

I believe our three fastest players would probably be found within the following group (ROUGHLY in order of whom i think would be MOST likely to be one of the three fastest):

Kenny O'Neal
LaMarcus Coker (if he were still around)
Brent Vinson
Eric Berry
Dennis Rogan
Lennon Creer
Denarius Moore
Gerald Jones
Demetrice Morley
Austin Rogers
Lucas Taylor

this guy is seriously still on the team? he hasnt done anything yet and been here for 4 years?

Seriously? That's the best you've got to say??? What the F have you done with your life in the last 4 years that we should all be so thankful for? What's YOUR great contribution to society as a whole?

This KID (and he's that: a KID) has endured a LOT and has persevered and stuck things out through difficult situation after difficult situation rather than QUITTING like a lot of lesser people would do. He made a commitment to the University of Tennessee and has HONORED that commitment, and the BEST you can do is sit there and criticize him for it? Please rethink your perspective before you make an ignorant comment like the one you made about this young man.

O.k., at this POINT (pun intended), i'm now ready to eat MY words (WITH salt, and a little pepper, please). J.P. (idiot) literally threw the game away in the last minute of regulation. Also, Curry seems to have found his 2nd wind in the 2nd half against G-town.

On Right decision? Crown sought with Prince in guard rotation

jcvet, i THINK we're substituting so much for two main reasons, both of which have to do with LONG-TERM tournament strategy (pure speculation on my part): 1) we're allowing as many players as possible to see the floor so that they'll be more comfortable/less nervous if and when they're called upon in a more stressful situation, and 2) simply keeping everybody FRESH throughout the tournament--not riding any particular player(s) for too long. Just look at Davidson's star Curry...after exploding for 40 in the first round, he's been woefully ineffective against G-town so far today.

Personally, i feel like Bruce Pearl has MORE than earned my humble trust. He's such a meticulous planner that i'm SURE there are even better reasons for what he's deliberately doing that what i'm able to speculate.

This doesnt add up!! JP isnt even close to being a PG.

Tammy, would you like some salt for your words, or do you prefer to eat them plain?

I'd say J.P. is doing a pretty decent job at playing HIS OLD HIGH SCHOOL POSITION. He's had a couple of GREAT passes that sure looked like Point Guard quality stuff to me!
