Since apparently the raises are handed out due to performance, I'll be expecting a BIG contract for Coach Pat Summitt, who has won NCs the last two years, while Pearl has yet to make it to the Elite Eight, and Fulmer's NC trophy has multiple layers of dust.

CBP? Yes, he deserves the raise. Fulmer? I don't get it.

Evidently, we must desperately preserve underachievement.

On Fulmer gets raise to $2.4 million; Pearl to $1.6 million

As for Faith and Glory....Lady Vol basketball abounds in both but there's always room for more.

Welcome aboard ladies, get ready to play some defense.

On Webb's Dupree commits to Lady Vols

I chose Candace because I am first and foremost a Lady Vol fan (hence my name) and I believe she will have the most lasting impact in her sport beyond college. It was a tough choice between her and Lofton, though. I thought Lofton would win the poll because of how beloved he is around here and rightly so. For my money, there's never been two finer players on and off the court than Lofton and Parker and I'm so proud they're Vols!

So glad the folks at Honda got it right. She's going to be a legend, people.

On Parker named Honda-Broderick Cup winner

A schedule like this can really help our RPI. Winning those games will earn the respect of doubters who still see Tennessee as one who doesn't belong at the party.

Hopefully the incoming freshmen enjoy rebounding, playing defense and staying out of trouble.

Dane Bradshaw belongs on the Tennessee bench - his presence is as motivational as CBP's, just in a different way.

On Bradshaw, Tatum show their offensive talents

Yep, all those other contestants are household names.

Please. I'm sure they're talented and deserving.
But people, Candace is going to change women's sports forever. She's already started.

On Negedu credits Pearl, UT players for picking Vols

Just once, could we have an incoming freshman class with no knee injuries?!

I remember the freshman season of Nicky Anosike and Alexis Hornbuckle. Nicky was a fouling machine and Lex was a loose cannon who turned the ball over constantly. But they learned and became the great players they are today. The players with a good work ethic inevitably mature and grow and I think the same thing will happen with Bjorkland, McMahan and especially Vicki Baugh. It will be interesting to see who emerges as the leader next year.

I think we'll all be pleasantly surprised come November.

I like to see great players no matter what kind of uniform they wear, be it an NBA jersey, a European uniform or a RTL t-shirt.

I've never been to a RTL game but I would love to see the former Vols again and I know it's going to be great. My gosh, Dane Bradshaw at 60 percent was enough of a show. 100? Wow.
