On Poll: Who do you consider the greatest Lady Vol player of the all-time?

I'm surprised overrated is able to type since I'm sure both his hands are still clasped firmly around his throat, much like CDR and Rose last night at the foul line. I think its rather funny that he comes on here to talk trash to a team that in the past two years has blown them out in Knoxville and beat them at their place against their "best team ever". Have fun replacing CDR, Rose, and that big thug Dorsey. We'll see you for your annual whooping next year. This time it'll be in Knoxville. Oh, and please stop pretending to be a Vol fan during football season, you give us true fans a bad name...

You're right...I had obviously seen the replay multiple times last night, but hadn't watched very closely to see if they were fouling or not. I had just remembered Collins falling to the ground and figured that they had fouled him after reading Calipari's comments this morning. But yeah, I just looked at the replay and they definitely were not trying to foul. Dumb coaching.

Well, to be fair, Memphis was trying to foul Collins, but they didn't blow the whistle. Collins managed to get it to Chalmers and the rest is history. Great championship game last night. Two truly great basketball teams. Looking forward to UT getting the opportunity to measure themselves against both next year. Memphis will likely take a big step back next year without CDR, Rose, and Dorsey though. I've gotta admit that I did get a good bit of pleasure watching Memphis blow the title with poor free throw shooting at the end (especially since I had Kansas winning it all and therefore won my pool). I'm looking forward to owning Memphis yet again in Knoxville next year.

Anybody calling Hardesty a "wuss" has apparently never watched him run. He runs as hard or harder than any back we have. Remember the run against Cal 2 years ago? An amazing individual effort...hope he gets healthy and can stay healthy this year. Running back should be the least of our worries on offense this year. Foster played outstanding football last year, I already mentioned Hardesty, Creer looked good in limited action last year with the exception of a couple fumbles, and Poole and Vereen are both very talented young guys. We should have great success on the ground this year with that stout O-Line coming back. Good to hear about Ben Martin, sounds like a great attitude. Needs to bulk up to the 250-260 range if he's gonna be of any use against the run though. If he's playing at 240 he'll make a nice 3rd and long pass rusher though.

Volinky...the class ratings on Rivals and Scouts are based on players who have signed LOI's only if I'm not mistaken, so West and Hopson have not been included in our class yet. Amazing how our team has gone from "short and scrappy" (starting 6'4" Dane Bradshaw at the 4 two years ago) to "long and athletic" (most likely having a starting lineup with only 1 player under 6'6" next year). These players are perfect for CBP's system. I'd look for a lot more press next year and most likely a much more effective press. I don't want to celebrate too early since there is still a chance that Scotty could flake out on us in the next two weeks, but if these are our 4 coming in next year, that's a great class! And on top of that, we have Kenny Hall already committed for next year. I hope Tyler comes back, and honestly believe it would be his best interest to do so. As much as I love his game, its not NBA ready yet. He needs to continue to develop his long range shooting, as a 6'7" forward who can't shoot the 3, he won't make it a long way in the Association. We should be the favorites to repeat as SEC Champs if he comes back to join this awesome recruiting class.

This is promising, but I don't think anything will ever top the '07 Hogs led by Coach Nutt and QB Dick...unintentional comedy like that only comes around once in a lifetime...

I've got no problem with Pearl putting his son in the game. At first, I was shocked to see him in there, but to be honest he actually gave us some good minutes. He played good D and got one of the maybe 4 offensive rebounds we managed to get all night. He's not an offensive threat, but at the time, we trying to steal minutes until halftime so we could get Chism and Tyler to the half with only 2 fouls. Thanks to Chris, JuJuan, and Jordan for being a HUGE part in the revival of Tennessee basketball. The future is bright, but as far as next year goes, we MUST find a couple guards who can shoot the 3. JP and Ramar look awful shooting jump shots. Tabb and Tatum may be good shooters, but they never get the opportunity. Let's hope some of these freshmen can at least hit open jumpers. The better team won last night, we played very poorly, but a lot of that was dictated by the L'Ville defense. How many times did Lofton have his shot blocked? I haven't seen him blocked that many times during his whole career. The refs were atrocious, but that's besides the point. We didn't play well enough to win. Please come back Bruce! There is still work to be done here!
