Fulmer doesn't deserve a raise or extension. He's 23-14 over the past 3 years and this year he won the East which was great, but again, we fell short in the championship game.
With that being said, he doesn't need to be fired or retired, but some new position coaches, coordinators with some new ideas instead of the old rehashed same UT schemes would be nice.

Didn't care for Harris much when he was here, but I like hearing that he is putting his daughter first above athletics and is going back to school to get his degree.

I don't necessarily mind Fulmer staying. Even though he was lucky against USC, Vandy and KY, we still won.
But please Phil, do something about Larry Slade and John "3rd and long" Chavis. Neither one of them can recruit a lick, and their coaching is mediocre on their best days.
BTW, I love how the Fulmer lovers keep having to amend the line that Phil is the winningest active coach in college football. It used to be that he was the winningest coach in college football, but now they have had to amend that to "the winningest coach who's been coaching D1 for at least 10 years". I'm assuming next it will be "He's in the Top 10 of the winningest coaches with 10 years experience in games played before 8am Australian time"

Great job Fulmer of getting us to the SECG for the 5th time in 11 years.
Now instead of focusing just on that, how about that we haven't won a game in the GA dome in 9 years.
All the Fulmer sheep are happy with just getting by and just getting there. They don't understand that the reason noone respects UT anymore is because of blowout losses on National TV, then close lucky wins against inferior opponents. They still count as wins, but sometimes perception is reality.
I don't mind Fulmer staying. He's earned it, whether he's lucky or not. But in this day and age of recruiting, Chavis and Slade need to go. They can neither recruit or coach. If Chavis doesn't go, we will find ourselves more behind UGA and UF than we are right now.
On Strange: Fulmer to be compensated after one of his better jobs

I thought we were imitating Nikki Annosiki with our layups Saturday night. Brick after brick from 2 feet away.
This is what makes college basketball great. At the beginning of the year, you play these tough teams to get ready for conference play and to give your team time to gel and come together.
My guess would be to get Newton and Williams out of the rotation now, that way they can have a few games to get used to playing the 9 man rotation. But if we don't get better PG play and FT shooting, it's going to be an early exit from the NCAA tourney.

Fulmer has earned the right to stay here until he retires, hopefully soon though, but please Fulmer....see the light and send Mark Mangino's twin brother John Chavis packing and send Larry Slade along with him.

How about we just take Chavis and Slade's salaries and give them to Fulmer, since neither one have done a thing with a Defense that should be way way better than it is.

"Antonio Reynolds also registered a sack." Well break out the party hats give grades out like Hamilton gives raises to Fulmer.
Coaching should get a D at best. We come out superflat after halftime, again, and almost gave away a game we should have won rather easily. Chavis is poor poor excuse for a Def Coordinator and Larry Slade needs to join Bill Callahan in the unemployment line.

"But that same defense kept Kentucky out of the end zone on a 18-play, 90-yard drive in the fourth quarter."
I don't understand. It's good about giving up an 18 play 90 yard drive in under 3 minutes and good that UK QB dropped the snap then overthrew a wide open WR in the endzone with 1 second left.
Look, I love the players on this team. I appreciate how hard they play, but Chavis and Larry Slade suck. This defense has a chance to be special, but with Chavis and Slade here, unfortunately we will still be seeing 12-15 yard cushions with teams at the 10 yard line.

Bad news for UT if Cut does leave, but if he takes Chavis, Slade and Roper with him, then it would definitely be addition by subtraction.
