It's kind of funny! Everyone hated Spurrier when he was at Florida for doing the same thing. Yet he did it Saturday after Saturday. Ran up the score on everyone he could. No matter if there was 30seconds left in the game and up by 40. He was going to try to score.
Yup! The Gator's have found their new Spurrier! And we hate them because we can't beat'em.
Everyone can say what they want to, but if we were up on Florida, Alabama, Georgia or even LSU by 50 with 2 minutes to go we would want our team to hang another 7 on them and you know it. Our problem is that CPF doesn't have that killer mentality anymore. In '06 we were up by 35 and called the dogs off of Cal. Same for '07 in the Georgia game. I believe we could've easily put a couple more scores on them by the end of the game and we didn't do it. I can't stand the majority of the Georgia fans and would've loved seeing them have a 50 spot put on them. Even if a couple of the scores would've come from our backups.
And the same would hold true for Florida. Thing is we won't ever be ahead by 35 against UF. We couldn't even do that when Zook was there.

But then it's hard to win a game when the opposing teams best defensive player is in your own backfield tackling your qb and coughing up the football.
The sad part is he WILL become UT's all time leading rusher. Which puts him ahead the likes of Jamal Lewis and Travis Henry. And he won't even be remembered for the rushing yards. All people will think of when they think of him is all the fumbles and now tackling his own qb!

jclowers: I agree whole heartedly!
The Bruins will probably wind up being around 6-6. Which will only make us look worse. Look what Cal did to us last year and then didn't do so well the rest of the season. They went to a bowl game and all that, but they sure didn't live up to their hype. Even after making us look foolish.

Due to the lower price, when do you expect it to affect the price at the pump? I know on my long drive into work this morning I saw the price at Pilot had gone up about .08 per gallon.

UT fans,
iam4ua is just upset because Bama has sucked for the last 14yrs. Sure they've gotten a couple of wins over UT the last few years, but that's gonna happen in any rivalry. (Well except for Kentucky, but then we shouldn't call that a rivalry).
He's probably one of those people who had a big party the day they hired Saban.
If you think about it Alabama couldn't have a 10 year reunion for their NC they won in the 90's because nobody would've come due to how bad they were. If they would've come it might've looked like they were supporting Shula. And not even the AD wanted to show support for him.

I can see it now! You sitting in jail with your buddies right beside and you looking at them and say, "We might've lost the game, but to do what we just did was worth it!"

I have to agree with you as well 99gator. I kind of got the "deer in the headlights" look when I read that myself.

We will not hang 70 on UAB. I don't have a problem with UF kicking the FG. Heck! It was a way to let the kicker get some game experience without any pressure on him.

Lest we forget scoring in the 50's every year on Vandy and Kentucky back in the 90's?
I know we can't do it now, but we did do it. Just think though. Had we kept trying to score on SC and Kentucky last year we wouldn't have had to go to OT to win those games. Instead, "Mr. Classy" called the dogs off and "Mario" put us in our prevent defense and let them tie it up.
I will say this though. As much as I can't stand the majority of UGA fans, I do think it was funny what UGA did last year against Florida. Richt got his guy's motivated! That's something we have forgotten how to do here.
