You've been claiming we're worried for about 9 years now.
You claimed we were REALLY worried about last year when I stoicly told everyone this game wouldn't be close, in Florida's favor. But all y'all could focus on was tearing the goal posts down...lol
in response to Big_Orange_Aide: You over that Louisville loss yet?

Yes. Are you over that 9th straight Florida loss yet? Or was it 10?

They make medicine for that, try Tums.
Glad y'all are national champs of riding around in Caravans during the offseason, but that wont win SEC games.
It's all easy when you're riding around on a bus cracking wise with reporters and adoring fans. When he rolls into the Swamp in September, he'll quickly realize this aint Cincinnati, and Florida aint Rutgers. When Muschamp lowers the BOOM, he'll be spinning in circles trying to figure out what just happened to his rear end.
His 14-18 record after 3 seasons will have him back at a lower tier program in a lower tier conference, where he belongs.
Should Butch Jones be brought back for a second year if he goes 3-9?
After this news, I'd like to revise my prediction downward, from 4-8 to 3-9.
in response to usafvol: Hi, I'm DeltaCharlie3 and I'm from Florida; land of trailor parks, Walmarts and flip flops. We have 3 major colleges here and over the past few years, have sent enough of our footballs players to jail who would fill Newland Stadium...oh, wait.

Hard to believe a UT fan still talks smack about players going to jail and getting into trouble....lol
What will this year be, the 9th or 10th in a row? We lose track.
in response to punkin: I guess you're going to have to buy a third NFL Tebow jersey.....oh wait.

You mean the guy who was 4-0 versus Tennessee? He's gone from Florida, he can't hurt you anymore.
in response to 123forVOLS: No DeltaCharlie3, we had no choice with the two former coaches. But you keep on being Mr. Negamania. It seems to please you. Meanwhile, we celebrate a high energy, people person who intends to make the Volunteer football team better. If I was a betting person, I'd lay odds he will be better than 15-21 after his third season. I might even wager he will have 15 wins by the end of his second...Nah you just keep the hits coming pal.

Better than 15-21? Ok, 17-19? Big whoop. This guy is the best you could get and he's a nobody. Good luck.

Will you still like when he's 15-21 after his 3rd season? Y'all liked Kiffin and Dooley too, at first.
Hi, I'm Butch Jones from Tennessee; home of great women's basketball and the biggest football stadium in the SEC.... oh, wait.
in response to CroKev: I'm going to miss Ja'Wuan. Hey, Orlando Brown just announced that he's a Vol so the tradition of excellent (and big!) OL continues. After signing several good skill guys, congratulations to CBJ and staff for now bringing in "the big uglies"!

Who?
I always thought Bray appeared to be laying down on his team and darn near sabotaging Dooley and staff. With Dooley being extracted from the program, he felt no need to cover for Bray and most likely blasted Bray to any and all NFL execs who quizzed him on Bray.
The last thing an NFL team wants is a player who is prone to sabotage or quitting. I'm surprised he was picked up as a FA.
Will it be 9 or 10 in a row this year, I've lost count?
Do it fast! You'll be gone in 3 years.

Humiliating for a former Gator to be stuck coaching at UT. But, times are tough, rough economy, etc. He's gotta do what he's gotta do. Certainly he'll be gone as soon as another gig opens up, just like Graham.
:-)
in response to dragon18: Wow! Is it just me or does it feel like we actually have a group of coaches that "coach" football? I wasn't a Dooley hater, but in retrospect I have to wonder if the focus was in the right place. I love/hate comments like "we are a poor tackling team right now." Love it because it means it will be addressed finally. Hate it because.... well because we are a poor tackling team. Guys, I get more excited everyday with this group of COACHES! BTW- That pic of CBJ is awesome! That is an intense individual and he looks like he would rather be in pads than coaching.

And you think he's a great coach because of his Cincinnatti resume'?
Derek Dooley made him look incompetent, what does that tell you?
It's just you. These coaches and just as sophomoric as the last bunch.
I say yes, tear em' down, storm the field! Just like in 2012.
Oh, wait....
I think we should all start debating whether or not to rush the field and tear the goal posts down when you beat Florida in 2014.

So cheaters do win? Besides, didn't he lose his last three to Florida as he was being ran out of the game for cheating?
Bring back Pearl!
The violations will need to become much more serious if Tennessee ever expects to compete again.
See Alabama for blueprint.
Below Vandy. Next question.
The downward spiral continues.

24/7 is a bit of a stretch. I know y'all miss me and would like to see me around more, but it's more like a few times a week, not 24/7.
I'll do my best to get by more often.
NIT, book it.

As opposed to Tennessee, who really performed well in their bowl game. Oh, wait...

Was expected to compete for starting LG spot. Kid supposedly has tons of potential. Muschamp hasn't been one to mess around with bs penalties for kids who get in trouble. An example was when he booted arguably the best cb in the country at the time, Janoris Jenkins, off the team.
I'm sure he'll at least miss some games, as he should. On the whole, the program has been much better of late under Champ than it was under Meyer. These kind of events seemed like they were happening about every other week before Muschamp took over.
But make no mistake about it, my friend, UF makes it 9 straight next year with or without Dunk.
in response to Theo: Good thing. Considering how badly they stunk up their bowl game. Will they also recruit someone who knows how to coach a game?

11-2, I'll take it. Plus, he's 2-0 versus UT, including the game where y'all were planning to tear down the goal post, remember? Yeah, y'all got blown out instead.
Muschamp is building the only program in the SEC that can take Bama off this dynastic run.
in response to runninbroke: Easy there... With a healthy J.Hunter, we beat Florida and who knows after that! We couldve had a special year. When Hunter got hurt, the car broke down. Cincy's team was good that year.

Surely you don't believe that.
Wait, two pages of comments for women's basketball?
Y'all actually watch that stuff?
Compounding matters for UT, Florida has the consensus #1 class (multiple sites), and their class is expected to get even better. LSU, UGA, SC, TAM, Auburn, Vandy and Bama with higher ranked classes than UT.
in response to huntined#565710: DC3 someone is using your computer!!!!You are correct they got out coached and out played but just so you know we would love to have a 11-2 year...

We see it every bowl season, the big, bad bully on the block lays around and gets fat, slow and sidetracked, while the "lowly underdog" spends his time studying, planning, preparing an stalking. Boise State to Oklahoma, Utah to Alabama, even Florida to Ohio State in 2006. 5+ weeks of "you have no shot" impacts college football more than any other sport.
I was hoping it wouldn't happen to UF, but it did. Oh well, life and college football moves on.
This game and LSU losing probably helps Alabama. Surely if they were complacent in their bowl prep, watching two SEC juggernauts go down should get their attention.
And it wasn't that close. Great job to Strong and staff. So glad he's at Louisville and not somewhere in the SECe, namely Tennessee.
Florida got out-coached and out-played, period, on top of having 5 weeks of bowl prep hearing about how good they were and how Louisville wasn't worthy. Plus, the dynamic of Strong staying at Louisville serving as a boost for the players all = a perfect storm for the disinterested Gators. Still, 11-2 is an outstanding season and I'm proud of Muschamp and the season he had. Program is headed back in right direction.
Happy offseason everyone. See ya around soon once the SEC basketball slate heats up.
Who? Did he play last year?
In other words, Champ is making room for an overflowing recruiting haul. Saunders likes smoking weed and Patchan can't stay healthy. Muschamp doesn't tolerate either.
in response to GerryOP: The sky is not falling.
in response to GerryOP:

No, but 47th in Rivals? Gerry, that deserves a "yikes" if nothing else.
In the SEC, it takes 2 years to recover from a bad recruiting year, on top of all the other things that are already plaquing UT (previous bad recruiting years, coaching changes, new offensive and defensive systems), etc.
Trouble.
Florida is back, not that they were ever really gone. A win over Louisville means 12-1 and #2 in the country.
They'll be in the thick of the national title hunt again next year too.
I'm gonna go ahead and go on record as saying UT has absolutely, positively, ZERO chance to win in the Swamp next year.
As opposed to the 5% chance they would have had, had CP, Bray and Hunter stayed.
I thought the Benny Hill music playing in the background was a nice touch.
He was so good, so great, that he led UT to a 1-7 SEC season.
Yikes.
in response to voloffaith: That is probably one reason Harris of Maryland is on board..........
That is probably one reason Harris of Maryland is on board..........
And this much I can promise; after UF makes it 9 straight in the Swamp, we will NOT rush the field and we will NOT be tearing down a goal post. Just in case you were wondering.

Florida has been around long enough to acquire a winning record versus Tennessee 23-19. Soon to be 26-19 before you run off this current stiff, Butch something. And that's after spotting y'all a 10 game lead in the first 50 years of the LAST CENTURY! Oh, and we enjoyed you guys rushing the parking lot this year (again), instead of rushing the field. Just think how much money UF saved UT in not having to replace those goal posts. Thank us later.
