Berry should turn down the Heisman if he wins. Name another sports award with as much regional bias. Think about it. heisman winners probably have the least amount of nfl success of any of the annual college football awards that are given. how overrated! i would love to see berry get up at the podium and turn down the trophy. hey... a guy can dream.

check this kid out on rivals. i knew he was huge, but he can move too. he overmatches high school kids so much that it's almost unfair. as a big guy, though, he's going to have to learn to play lower.

I just watched Damien Thigpen's highlights on rivals. He's small, but he can fly. in the sec, it never hurts to add more speed to your team.
it's nice to see the Virginia connection already paying off. That area is loaded with talent.

thanks for turning this into a political conversation. if i want to hear someone tell me what to think and who to vote for, i can go to cnn. i come to this site to read about football.
wilson should be fine. he won't wow you with mayo type stats, but he's very underrated. as usual, i trust chavis to put a quality lb unit on the field just like every other year.

I just hope we design more creative plays for them than just running off tackle. If they are limited to simple running plays, defenses will know what to expect every time they see one of them line up at qb. remember how everybody in the stadium knew what was coming when Eric Locke lined up at qb?
I think we should get both of them on the field at the same time and run the zone read option so defenses won't know who is getting the ball. They might even be able to throw a pass or two.

Stephens has the fewest interceptions through three scrimmages and two tds today. Before spring, i thought he'd be 3rd string. Who knows, by the 4th game, he could be our starting qb.
Realistically, i still think crompton will have success. he'll be a refreshing change from Ainge and Clausen in terms of toughness. even if his stats aren't great, i think he will lay it on the line for UT every game and come through when he is needed.

Great early showing for the new offensive staff. The entire coaching staff, but specifically Scott, has done well early in the recruting process. If this is a sign of things to come, expect the 09 class to be one of Fulmer's typical premier hauls. seems like these 1-AA guys have no problem recruting at an SEC school.
