Hunter will be better in the first couple of years, but i think when CP becomes a better route runner, he will be the better player.
He deserved it with the hire of butch!
in response to SevenT: Like I said troll-boy....NOBODY in the great state of Alabama would invite or attend a speaking event from A Tennessee Football Coach. Alabama does not need to bring in out of State Football Coaches to raise money. This whole deal is embarrassing for Tennessee Football Fan. Just Saying

Really? You called me a kid, and told me to take a Valium and go to bed.
What did I say to you for you to lash out at me? And how are you "100 percent sure"?
in response to orangecountyvols: Exlineman, and other legit Vols, I've enjoyed your informative comments. You, Vol43, Johnlg, Gerry, NavalOranges, the Doctor, USAF etc. etc, gosh it's great to know there are people here who want to stand behind the Vols........a nice departure from the idiots whose 'mission' here is to simply show their rear ends, run down the Vols, whine about the past..........such as the WiltedFlowers idiot who has this passion to dwell on individuals..........Karl Kremser, Glenn Ford, and most recently......Derek Dooley. We'll be enjoying Tennessee football in the future, and this jerk will be standing outside Neyland Stadium with a loud speaker and bill board hanging around his neck ........screaming to anyone who will hear him and his warped mission. Yes, some of the trolls are the same person. The rest of us keep our same screen name and don't have to be banned and keep coming back here with a new one. And yes, talk about insecurity........the individual who runs down the Vols and puffs up his 'diploma' as if he is the only one who can claim the allegiance. Coach BJ is heading in the right direction. We move forward with him, with no concern for the trolls and whiny birds ...........

Jalen Hurd commits to Tennessee!!!!!!
in response to HtownVol: If UT can get a few more 4 stars before the season there is no reason this class isnt a top 10 class. If all goes well it has a chance to be a top 5 class.Since we just got a WR I am certain that UT can be very selective with any more WRs. We have more than enough. Now it is time to build that defense and get the long awaited STUD RB!

in response to 8inarow: Who?
in response to 8inarow:
Who?
AND he was preseason all-SEC
You should know him, he scored in double digits twice against florida last year and picked up a double-double.
in response to 8inarow: As I posted yesterday, Vols to line twice as many times as UF. However, home time-clock seemed to work this time (may not have if game was closer) UF stayed with ut even with 2-key players out, and losing a 3rd in the game to an injury. So, here is how it will play out. Gators go deep in NCAA, vols lose early in NIT. Happens ever year.

He's not coming to tennessee
Look him up on youtube. He kicks 60 yarders with ease
Happy snow day!!!
Derrick Green! 5 star RB!!!
Please go with Peterman over Worley, he would fit the system sooooo much better.
Ha, i live in birmingham

are we switching back to a 4-3 defense?

Charlie Strong has declined Tennessee's offer, according to @SIPeteThamel. SI story: bit.ly/VkX0ZJ

Strong just arrived at Louisville's team meeting, probably to announce if he's staying or not to the players
Does anybody know what defensive scheme Louisville runs???? please reply
Can someone tell me what defensive scheme Louisville runs? I'm just wondering if we would have to switch schemes again

in response to GatorHater1998: Well if he would want to bring his staff with him (which he would probably do)then we would go through the same phooey we are going through now. We would score 40+ points and let the other team score 50.

Oklahoma state's defense is ranked 73rd with the 116th ranked pass-defense. The numbers speak for themselves. He could have the best offensive mind in college football, but if you can't play tough defense, you just won't win. Just look at Tennessee's numbers this year.
I would be outraged if gundy got hired. He doesn't have the defensive mind to coach in the sec

HA! last night i posted that it will be announced at 2:00 today that he has accepted it!
I just heard from Ed Butler, a DL from the 1998 championship team, that it will be announced at 2:00 tomorrow that Jon Gruden has been hired as the next volunteers coach.

Gruden just turned down the arkansas job
Thank God!

1. Gruden2. Spurrier3. Strong4. Patterson5. Jimbo Fisher
in response to Volunatic: I think Hunter will probably be back-- I don't think he has had a "1st-rounder" kind of season. If Dooley is fired and replaced by a proven offensive mastermind, then it becomes slightly more likely that Bray returns.I don't foresee any scenario in which Patterson decides to stay next season-- he's an early 1st-round lock, and will be a multi- multi- millionaire this time next season.I wish all three of them well, regardless. It would be nice to see the Vols finish this season with two regular-season wins and a bowl win, but that would surprise me greatly at this point.

Funny you say that, because Hunter is higher on most mock drafts than Patterson. Patterson is listed as mid-2nd round. Hunter is listed as 10-15th pick.
