overated, At first I was surprised that you found a grammatical error within my own post. Good job, I concede defeat. I was shocked you knew the correct spelling. Then I remembered that "arguments" is spelled the same in English as in Ebonics.

(For UT posters)
Actually chief, either way is gramatically correct. It all depends on where you want to place emphasis. That's all beside the point though. While they may not teach correct English at Memphis, I got a solid education at UT. The reason I don't grade other posters is because they don't come on here from other schools talking trash about how great their respective institutions are in comparison to the VOLS. Memphis is a good team, no doubt. I'm not trying to say that they aren't. I'm just saying you want to talk about how great they are and I felt compelled to remind you of the last two years' head to head matchups with UT. Your arguements are all hyperbole (I'll wait while you look that up) and speculation while talking about next year. Mine are in win columns.
(For Memphis posters)
yo your junk is wak, dem vols be da bomb. neks year goin be nasty yo. scotty gonna bring it airy day. yo know what i be kikin da truf.
P.S. overatedvols, I dumbed things down for you Tiger fans a little bit to make it easier to comprehend. By the way, there are two r's in overrated.

Listen, overated, I went through no more trouble than is necessary while typing my entry. I simply did things the correct way. I find it hard to believe that in your haste to post your mindless drivel that you overlook correct spelling and punctuation. There's is a right way and a wrong way. I didn't stoop to name calling, and as adults we should be able to engage in contentious banter while still keeping it civil. You come on here and throw around ridiculous tidbits of information about Memphis basketball, on a Vols site, and expect everyone to bow down and admit Memphis is the next powerhouse. How about admitting a few things yourself? UT got the best of Memphis the last two years. Memphis is the armpit of America and might as well become part of Arkansas, and finally that Memphis is the basketball equivalent of THE Ohio State Buckeyes the last few years. Always a bridesmaid, never a bride.
P.S. Yes there is a #1, and he doesn't like Memphis either.

overrated, I'm going to assume that you went to Memphis, or maybe another high school in the area. Your spelling is atrocious. That being said, I always find it amusing when fans of other schools come to govolsextra.com to have something to write about. Why? Does kittens.com not cover your one sport year round, or do you just like reading about the Vols? If that is the case I wouldn't blame you. Are you a closest Vols fan? Are you trying to come out of the closet on this message board. In conclusion, overrated it might be best to stick to your fans websites for sports information. We use too many big words and don't have nearly enough pictures and games to pacify you. I hear kittens.com actually has scratch and sniff articles that smell like catnip. Goodbye Meow.

Can we lose the Cutcliffe hatred? I think an article or two about Cutliffe's undertaking at Duke is more than appropriate. Cutcliffe spent many years in Knoxville building good relationships and my personal belief is that he has earned as article or two. This is the Knoxville News Sentinel, not the University of Tennessee News Sentinel. Cutcliffe has been celebrated as Knoxville's favorite son and the savior of UT footbal on more than one occasion, so for this paper to check in on him occasionally is fine by me. This article could have been about UT women's golf. DO YOU REALLY WANT THAT?! Instead it's April and we're talking football. That's beautiful. I'll read about a Pop Warner game in Oregon in April... but only if we're recruiting their tailback.

I attended UT for four years and paid out of state tuition to do so. This is an outrage. The student activity fee was designed to pay for "student activities," such as football and basketball games. Ridiculous. Like the SEC tournament fiasco, I guarantee that the university will get "cute" with their student ticket policies in order to maximize their revenues. IF the tickets are transferrable or they are treated like regular football tickets, then this may be ok for the students who want to resell their tickets to make some money on the side. After all, isn't this analogous to paying twice for their tickets? My gut feeling is that the university will still require the presentation of a student ID in conjunction with the "special" ticket in order to enter. I love the University of Tennessee, but I don't like feeling that they are sticking it to us every chance they get.

The Sullivan Award is given annually to athletes who possess qualities of leadership, character, sportsmanship, ideals, wear jorts and visors, suffer through menopause and gel their hair. Great story and job well done Tebow. That's truly something to hang your visor on.

Since when does a pep rally constitute a breach of NCAA rules? Sounded like it could have been a lot of fun for both players and fans alike. Way to go guys.

Great season, horrible game last night. I really don't think there was much Pearl could have done. Everyone was playing was too fast, taking quick shots, flying down the court. There was no offensive sets run and Louisville just hammered us. The fouls didn't help. But, I'm not going to take anything away from the Vols this year. They made the "offseason" so much more enjoyable to be a Tennessee Vol. Congrats seniors, thank you. I truly believe Pearl will be back next year. We had a great run, but ever since the Memphis game, we ceased playing like a championship caliber team. Disappointing, but nothing to be ashamed of. Great season, good times, Go Vols!

mparker - I love how you act like we're the "special" ones. You're the guy who randomly interjected the '85 UT team that "trashed" Miami and Bama with Jay Barker. WTF? First, this article is on basketball. Second, don't ever come on here and give Bama props again.
