Pammy-
I was saying that the big momentum swing came after the fumble. Other than that he had a good game, but you just can't fumble in the red zone like that. When I watched the game on DVR, it didn't even look like anyone forced the fumble. Looked like he just coughed it up for no reason. If we get in the endzone there, we win the ballgame hands down.

Wait 'til you get to the fumble.
NeylandWest-
I'm pretty sure Michigan is going to finish with more than 4 losses.

I hope Fulmer's still mad 'cause so am I. I still don't have my f_cking voice back yet, and I won't be getting the $1,000+ I spent to go out there for that miserable performance back. I've always been a very positive KoolAid swigging Fulmer supporter, and it's hard for me to even find anything positive to say. The most positive thing I can come up with is that at least Fulmer has owned up to the loss. He said it starts with him, and he's damn right it does. One or two mistakes in the 1st game of the year by underclassmen or 1st year starters would be understandable. And if they caused us to lose to a team of equal caliber then so be it, but multiple mistakes (some by seasoned veterans) in all 3 phases of the game all point back to the coach. The season starts at the end of August. If it takes a couple of mistake filled debacles at the beginning of the season to iron out the kinks, I suggest we don't schedule anything but cream puffs until the 3rd week of September from now on. That won't help us this year though 'cause the damage is already done. Unbelievable, unbelievable, unbelievable!! I'm still so pissed I can't even think straight!

VOLstuckINky-
There are classless fans everywhere. There was a UT fan a couple of seats over from me at the game Monday who was determined to start a fight with every UCLA fan within earshot. It just amazes me how far a guy can push it without somebody throwing a punch sometimes! I can't believe there was no fight. It reminded me of the scene in Fight Club where all the fight club members were given a homework assignment to go out and start a fight and they all had trouble getting anyone to swing on them.

I just watched most of the game on TV and got to see it from a different vantage point. A few things stood out to me.
1) Mark May hit the nail on the head at half time. We were picking up 5 yards on 1st down running the football on almost every set of downs. The passing game was not looking too good. Why didn't we even attempt to run the ball on 2nd down? Then, if need be, you can still run the ball on 3rd down.
2) The Foster fumble was absolutely huge.
3) That was a safety.
4) Perhaps the most telling thing that I couldn't see from the stands that was brought up on the broadcast, was the frantic in-game wrist band switching by the offense. What the he11 is that all about? That sends up a big red flag to me that they weren't ready to go.
5) The blocked punt wasn't Cunningham's fault. There was a missed blocking assignment. One of the back 3 blockers didn't have his head on a swivel and let the guy go right past him while he was busy blocking air.

Wow, I just got home from LA. I haven't had a chance to read any of the articles or see any interviews and I don't know if I even want to. I'm sure that, much like a bad car wreck, I will even though I don't want to. I've never been more disgusted with the Vols in my life... disgusted with the team, the QB play, the coaching staff, and the program as a whole. UCLA had no business even being in that game let alone creeping up and winning it. We've got a lot of work to do before we'll be ready for any of our SEC foes. I must be a real glutton for punishment to be such a die hard UT fan. I haven't read any of the 833 posts on this thread, but I'm sure that most of them express pretty much the same sentiment. I feel sorry for any of you that, like me, spent a boatload of money to travel out to Cali for that nationally televised embarrassment.

Hey, if anyone hears who the broadcasters are going to be for ESPN for our game, post it on this thread for me please. Thanks.

G. Will already has some experience busting Craft's tail. They went up against each other in the juco NC game. Gerald & Co came out on top.

I didn't see anyone ripping at the ball, but I could've missed it. I hope I missed it. Oh well, I hope they come out ready to play from here on out. All is not lost, it just feels that way.
