Kudos to Tom Mattingly for this articl.
It is great to read what other life-long Vol fans have experienced at Neyland Stadium/Sheild-Waktins Field. It brought back some great memories for me.
We need more of these typ of articles, rather than the trash articles associated with Bammer John Adams!

My father took me to my first TN game when I was 7 years old. He got the tickets from a friend. We drove 5 hours from Lawrenceburg to Knoxville and back after the game. I was hooked after that. My father bought season tickets in 1982 becuase he could never find TN-Bammer tickets. That was my first TN-Bammer game and the start of a 4-year win streak.
The 1982 Bammer game, 1985 win over top ranked Auburn and the 1990 TN-Notre Dame games are my picks as best I have attended.
After my father past away, I was unable to get season tickets again for 10 years. Neyland Stadium has many good memories for my and I think of my dad and the games we attended together every time I go.
