WOW !!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats to Pat & Candace, the best basketball coach and the best basketball player and the entire team too.
We Lady Vol fans are so lucky and I hope no one forgets that or takes it for granted. We have highs and lows but the highs just keep coming back and setting the bar higher !

Great job by Parker but don't you guys count Lisa Leslie out. She is playing a tremendous role in helping Candace learn the WNBA in & outs and how to handle all the hype. Candace is just going to get better & better and that is scary and great !

stevefrommemphis, I dare say there isn't a single UT men's basketball player that doesn't respect Coach Summitt and certainly doesn't mind playing on a court named after her (The Summitt)!
If one was ever dumb enough to fall in that category, Coach Pearl would straighten him out in no time !!!

Thank goodness for Title 9. If people out there like ZR, smallmike4pres, da4bigorange and a few others were in charge, all us women would still have to be either secretaries or homemakers. I just hope none of them have daughters or granddaughters.
If you have no respect for women's sports, you have no respect for women ! If you think Coach Summitt doesn't deserve respect for what she has brought to women's basketball, can't you at least respect her for having a great graduation rate or do you think us girls shouldn't attend college ???

I don't like Geno either but I really dislike hatred. I wonder about some of you folks....
Both Pat and Geno are great coaches but Pat is also a great teacher and has loads of class. I'm sure she isn't worrying about someone else making more money than she is. She has a job to do, she loves that job and she is doing it.
She deserves more yes, but very few things in life ar far. She has a great challenge this year and she is focused on that and teaching young women how to be successful in life itself !

If you aren't a women's basketball fan fine. But why come to this forum and be so negative. Get a life and comment on things you are interested in.
Great job Candace. You are deserving of all the attention (hype) you are getting and you are doing a great job of selling women's basketball and being a tremendous role model for young women/girls ! We Lady Vol fans are very proud and thankful !!!
And thanks to the KNS for keeping up with our successfull graduates.

I wish Candace had not thrown the punch but I don't blame her. The officials were worse than lousy and had no control of the game ! Detroit always plays too rough/dirty and their coach expects it. If warnings had been given earlier, this mess would not have happened. The one thing that has disappointed me about the WNBA, is the poor job by the officials.
There is a lot of jealousy out there and Candace has been beat up, baited and taunted. With so very little control over the court, this was bound to happen.
I am sorry Lex has to play for Laimbeer, she deserves better ! Keep going forward, Candace !!!
