He played better in the 4th...maybe he should take more hits to the head to be effective...
He may be like an old truck...needs a good shove to get going...
On Crompton suffered concussion in fourth quarter against UCLA

"The worst thing I saw Monday night was Fulmer giving up. After the last UCLA TD he tossed his play sheets to an assitant, ripped off the headset ... and walked away."
And that is Fulmer leading by example...a quitter!

chrslyp, people like you are Fulmer's job security.
stj18, no I was not critcizing Clawson, I think the guy will actually be pretty good.
Fulmer puts limitations on his coaches so that their game will NOT outshine his "genius" coaching and he NEVER lets his coaches do THEIR thing.
He's an egomaniac that built this program into something huge but will leave it in worst shape than Maryville College!

Smoke Dog...you said that Clawson looked like Cutcliffe who looked like Sanders who looked like Cutcliffe...what is the link between the three of them? You got it, Fulmer.

In the words of Fulmer: "We were two or three plays away from winning that game"...wait until the end of the season and replace two or three with nine or ten and replace that game with conference title...that will be his speech on the Philip Fulmer show.
Oh and Arian Foster last year said that his name means "Holder of Knowledge" yeah...he can hold anything except a DARN FOOTBALL!!!!

marc_ash, sometimes supporting UT means you must go against it at times;
If you had a son that kept getting in trouble with the law and you bailed him over and over, at one point you'd have to let him stay in jail for a while so he can learn.
If the game against UAB is as crappy as this one, I'll be rooting for a LOSS week after week so Fulmer and Hamilton can feel the heat. Have you searched how many Facebook groups are there against Fulmer that are created by UT fans?

Unfortunately Fulmer will never get fired because the Alumni board at UT is in love with him.
It's rumored that Fulmer will NEVER get fired. Apparently they already have a wink wink deal in place that he will retire whenever HE WANTS to and will move to the AD's office to work with Mike (scary uh? they'd probably fire Pearl to get Green back!) or to replace Mike if he's gone.
Think about it:
Fulmer 1998 - 2008: 1 SEC Championship and 1 National Championship; Real Contenders in 1999, 2001 and that's it...signs of decline year after year, wasted talent.
Pearl 2005-2008: 1 SEC Championship and 0 National Championships; Real Contenders in 2006-07 and 2007-08; Signs of improvement, overachieving, doing too much with less talent than others...
In 3 years Pearl has out done Phil in all but 1 and big category;

I wonder where are the Fulmer lovers today that called me and others calling for his head "haters".
Is it hating if I can't stand my team playing with fear?
If our D chokes ALL the times with the game on the line?
If Fulmer gets his butt handed to him every time he is facing a real coach?
We had the game, and lost it and let a 3rd string Division 2 QB become a hero!
Stay the course! Idiots!
John Adams was RIGHT ON THE MONEY!
CAN FULMER, NOW!!!!!!
