Nothing 'wrong' with article except that he tried to build up Wilcox too much to prove a point about coaching for my taste. One of the worst losses in UT history was the goal line moronic brain cramp meltdown we had on defense which allowed LSU to get an extra down and win on the last play of the game. Remember? Who gives a rat what your quote defensive ranking is when u choke under the most intense pressure and embarrass the Vol Nation like that. That game stands out in my mind when I was convinced Dooley was not head coach material for UT. Yes, Adam's dig is absolutely fair. But Wilcox is no better than sunseri as far as I'm concerned with the 11 men on the field observation. A totally legit comment. If the shoe fits, wear it. And lately, UT fits a lot a negative stereotypes.

But I'm a happy camper now. This coach is the type of fit we should have had after Fulmer in the first place. I predict we r a serious SEC contender in 3 years and I also predict there will be idiots on here dumb enough not to be happy with that either but that's the Vol Nation for ya.

The quickest way to get more wins is to upgrade QB position from pure passer Manning/ainge/crompton/clausen style to T Martin, Braxton Miller mobile run/passer. Patterson's long run for a TD reminded me a bit of T Martin. Shame we only had him for one year. Yes, defensive line including LB and Safety support was embarrassingly pathetic too but a more balanced QB threat is going to result in us scoring more TDs instead of missing field goals. Mobile QB takes pressure off what always seems to be an over rated or under achieving running game and o line year in and year out. A more diverse away to keep drives going is going to keep that shaky D off the field. And Rajion Neal dropping that easy and desparately needed easy pass was really the game winning drive killer. He's a TB. That bonehead drop alone deserved to bring TB position down to B-. Georgia's backs are the only ones who deserved the A and they got ESPN Helmet stickers to boot. Our whole D gets an F, for the year and for the last decade. Every week someone one the other team's offense has a coming out party against us, so to speak. Georgia had many guys padding their stats against us. Same with Florida. Until we can recruit a more versatile threat at QB, we r going to remain the new Vandy type team. We haven't been able to recruit enough depth talent to play straight up smash mouth football for a very long time. Why is that going to change? Elite players r still going to go wherever better coaches like saban, Meyer, and muschamp are. We can't beat them in recruiting or X and Os. Need a game changing mobile QB to help overcome weaknesses at the other positions. My opinion ever since watching t Martin shut the Vol naysayers up after Manning left with a national championship with his broken play great running ability.
