Information on how to aid the victims of the deadly tornado in Oklahoma
Let it go VOL fans, he is a 18 year old kid. We need to worry about the SEC schools anyway. He is on his way to OSU and if that is where he wants to be, then so be it.
That should be some interesting television.
With the opportunities this guy has had in his career you would think by now he would have a home bought and paid for. Does Layla remind anyone of the wife on Talladega Nights? I could just see Lane getting fired and her acting like that.
Like the old saying, "opinions are like a__h___s, everybody has one and they usually stink".
Lets just play the game. Remember John, stranger things have happened. Kelly, from what I have heard may bolt for the NFL.
Sad, absolutely freaking SAD!!! Sunseri is making more from UT than he is from his new employer. After last seasons defensive debacle he couldn't get a job as a coordinator at the high school level. WHAT A TOTAL WASTE!!!
Hate to see him go, but I wish him luck and success. I enjoyed watching him play.
Ok, we are the ninth most valuable brand in the country and yet the athletic department is broke. WOW, sounds like to me mismanagement of funds.
Ask this question about this same time next year. You will get a more definitive answer.

Why have someone on the staff that doesn't want to be here?
in response to CoverOrange: While I agree with you that Petrino is only using WKU as a stepping stone don't you think WKU will be a much more attractive spot for their next coaching search if Petrino has them winning 10, 11 or 12 games each year? Same thing at Tennessee. Do you think Strong or any number of other coaches would have turned Hart down if UT was coming off a 10-2 season?

If Tennessee was 10-2, Dooley would still be in Knoxville. He would probably been named coach of the year and got an extension.
Wish you well against everyone else but Tennessee. Thank you for what you did while in Knoxville
It doesn't matter if he is the right guy or not, only time will tell that. Lets all support our coach and Thank him for coming here. GO VOLS !
Congratulations Coach Jones, those of us who truly bleed ORANGE & WHITE are behind you 100%. We look forward to many great years to come. Thank You in advance for your dedication to the program. Can't wait til kickoff. GO VOLS!!
And for all you folks that keep calling Jones=Dooley 2.0 I got news for ya. This guy has at least won in a BCS conference, not 4-7 in the WAC.
Butch Jones is one of the better young coaches in the business. I hope it all works out with him here, if he decides to take the job. Yes he has won before and I respect that, but he has never been through an SEC schedule. Players love to play for this guy ,but only time will tell.
Butch Davis wants the job, so give it to him. He has been cleared of all NCAA sanctions, great recruiter, and a Winner. Not to mention he is affordable with no "buy out" clause.
in response to John_10065: I think you guys are a bit off base here. Strong can have a long career at U of L and be well praised while earning more than 90% of the college coaches out there. More than you or I would ever hope for in our careers. He'll be appreciated and loved in Louisville and long remembered if he stays 10 - 15 years. He'll have his pick of the local talent which is extensive and probably the state talent. He'll do better then his big brother up the road in Lexington and gladly share the spot light with the BB program rather than being blinded by it. On the otherhand, he can come to Knoxville. He'll be expected to take UT to the December Atlanta game every year and win the SEC outright at least once every 3 or 4 years or be considered a failure. And he has to do it immediately, 7 wins or less next year and the torches and pitchforks will come out. A potential goat in Knoxville or a god in Louisville?

My point is, why have the coaches that we have targeted not committed. There is a Great opportunity for someone to come in and solidify a program, make one heck of a name for themself if successful, work in first class facilities, a top notch stadium, passionate fan base, and make millions of dollars while doing it in a great college town.
There is an underlying reason why no one wants this job. What is being hidden from the fans and media? Makes me wonder.
There are underlying issues in this program the fans dont know about. Why would a former SEC assistant coach and current BIG EAST coach not want to come back to the SEC? Makes me wonder.
I just pray this hire works out for all of us faithful Vols!!! Please let this work out. AMEN.

Paul, not Bobby Petrino.
"Pardon me bartender, I will have what he is having".
Just read the link SummittsCourt posted. If Butch Davis truly wants the UT job give it to him. He can coach, recruit, and is a WINNER. I know he had NCAA troubles while at at UNC, but he knows he must run a clean program here with no exceptions. I would much rather hire someone that wants to come here to coach than someone who only shows up here because of the $$$$.
in response to SummittsCourt: Gundy will not be the next coach at UT. An interview is just that, nothing more. It truly boils down to Jimbo Fisher, Charlie Strong or Butch Davis. http://www.coachingsearch.com/coachin...

I hope you are correct, but I still believe Kirby Smart is Hart's guy. UT can probably hire him cheaper than any of the three listed above and he probably has a affordable buyout if any at all.
Glad to mark him off the list, didn't want him in Knoxville anyway.
Gundy isn't coming to Knoxville, this is a mere plot and ploy by his people to get a wealthier contract from OSU. Tennessee is nothing more than a pawn on Gundy's chess board.
I keep reading all these posts about " go get Patterson, Peterson, Stoops, Fisher." These guys are not leaving there established programs to come to Knoxville and lets face it in each of there respective states they have as much clout as the Governor does. Like I said earlier lets get someone who wants to be here and wants to be the face of the program for years to come, not someone who is only here for the $$$.

What about the coach from Waterboy, I think his name was Mr. Coach Cline. Lol!!
Ok, we can finally got our heads out of the clouds, lets face it most of us Vol fans knew Gruden wouldn't come, so now lets get down to basics Mr Hart and go get a coach. Lets hire someone who is not here solely for the $$$$ but who actually wants to coach here be a part of the programs future. GO VOLS!!!
"Fantasy" LOL. Come on guys, lets move on and go get us a coach. Geez!!!

The closer the NCAA moves toward a playoff, the closer they are moving toward four mega conferences of sixteen teams each. It is gonna happen, just a question of when ?
Who cares, college kid drinks to much and gets arrested. If it had been a normal student it wouldn't have been a story on this website. Btw hypocrites shouldn't "throw stones in glass houses".

And the hard earned $$$$ every fan spent on supporting our team.
Gotta be the O-line. Bray owes them a debt of gratitude as does the whole team.
I was at the game today and the jumbotron flashed up an alarming stat they made me wonder. This team scored the third most total points in Tennessee Football history. How much different would the season have been had Wilcox stayed and if we would have had just a mediocre defense? I can't wait for next season to start. Go Vols!!!
With a season that held so much promise, I am disheartened by the way it turned out. We are about to enter another chapter of Tennessee football and for that I am thankful. I hate to see the season end, but I am truly excited about what the future holds for Tennessee Football. Go Vols!!!
Lets quit talking about the KY Loss last year and go on with life. I was there and I would just as soon forget about it as to keep bringing it up.

Ronald Reagan was running the country at that age, with that said stranger things have happened, but I dont see it happening.
The more I read other websites and listen to Hart talk I am starting to think Jimbo Fisher might be his first choice.
I appreciate what he did while he was here, but that is great news to me. Thank you.
Down by 25, Dopey goes for two. Sickening!! Get off the field Dooley. You dont deserve to wear the Power T.
Dooley, you have made a mockery of our proud football tradition. Take the bus ride home, pack your belongings, and NEVER SHOW YOUR FACE IN TENNESSEE AGAIN!!! You are pathetic!!!

"ditto"
There is the defense we all have grown used to. Touchdown Vandy. Good grief!!!
C'mon Tyler, light 'em up !!
in response to volpreacher: Actually I don't understand the benching of Bray, but don't pick on the defense they are playing really good other than the opening run.

We are gonna end up having to put 45+ on the board if we have a chance to win. This game is far from over. Don't forget how our halftime adjustments go.
