Coach Jones and his staff have done a wonderful job so far. They have everyone excited and that's a great thing. They have recruited pretty good and it looks like 2014 will be very good. With a few breaks here and there we may have a better season than most expect. My old high school coach used to tell us that you create your breaks. I'm hoping our new staff has the team ready to do just that. My coach used to also say that a good team finds a way to win and a bad team finds a way to lose. We have to start finding a way to win the close ones.....I believe we will. I'm ready to see our defense light some people up and I'm ready to see our running game get back on track. Who's going to step up and make us proud? I'm not sure but I hope it's a lot of men in ORANGE!
Nothing is easy when you get to this point. But guess what...It won't be easy for Texas either! There is only one UT and only one ORANGE! BRING EM ON! We have something for them.

I'm all for picking up another SEC game but it's time to let the Alabama game go. It's not a rivalry any more. We'll get back in the mix soon regardless of what happens. I just talked to a friend of mine in Knoxville and he told me two interesting rumors. I was wondering if anyone else had heard them. The first is that South Carolina is going after the Notre Dame Quarterback. The other is that a big time recruit is getting ready to commit to us in the next couple of days. I have no idea who that might be. I'm definitely getting ready for football and hope Lane gets back with the team soon, as long as his head is on right of course.

I watched the game and although we squandered a few opportunities we came through in the end. It was obvious which was the better team. Keep fighting ladies! Keep winning! Let everyone know who you are....YOU ARE TENNESSEE! YOU ARE TENNESSEE!

Maybe they did ask Dooley. I'm sure they did. Maybe he was simply honest. You ever thought about that? I want Tyler to be successful as I do all Vols. But in my opinion he wasn't ready for the NFL. Yes, he has a strong arm and that's about it. He'll get a chance with a NFL team. Let's all watch and see how it turns out.
Good to hear! I guess you are a member of the "Vol Truth Squad". I don't know what that is but if it helps UT....good for them. Don't think so! I supported Dooley as our Coach as all Vol fans should. I however didn't understand the hire and hoped for the best. He turned out to be a poor Coach but I think he is a good man that was over his head. I wasn't in favor of signing Coach Jones at first but I believe he has proved me wrong. No matter what the Vols will be back. I will be there with the rest of the VOL NATION and enjoy the ride. I hope you are with us!
Hey, I'm a Tennessee man win or lose. I have been for about 45 years now. Nothing you can say or do will change that! We are rebuilding as bad as I hate it but rest assured we are a lot closer than most people give us credit for. The Vols are back, Jack! Just ask Uncle Si.

I think he already realized that Landry was a mistake. Otherwise, this announcement would not have been after the Landry announcement.

I didn't see this coming but my friends on the hill told me it's grades. I don't know and I wish Trae all the luck in the world. We'll see. This is another opportunity for someone else to step forward. Who will it be?
Let's use them all. Quality and quantity will both help. Loosing the linemen after next year will hurt so we better develop some this year. If we keep getting good recruits we'll be fine. Rock on you Mighty Vols!

Just like bringing in the former players it's good to get Johnny back in the mix too. All of us true Tennessee people need to stick together and get this freight train building momentum. If you want to reach the big time you have to do as Pat Summit always did. Play anybody anytime anywhere. We are going to have a very good team next year. We might even beat Ole Miss and Georgia.

Keep the recruits coming! We need to have some receivers step up this fall...same with a quarterback. If they do and we develop some back ups on the o-line for next year, we'll be just fine. All we can hope for now is getting everyone's best effort, staying free of injuries and keeping the top recruits coming. Winning the turn over battles wouldn't be bad either. I think we have a pretty good coaching staff. We just need a couple of big wins to keep everybody excited.
Klein and Bray not being selected surprised me. I thought Rogers would be picked too. Anyway, it does show what you do and how you act matters. Bray didn't do anything that bad. I don't really understand that one. I really hope all of the Tennessee players and former players are signed with someone and given a fair chance to compete. After that, may the best players win out.

Like everyone else I was glad to see the turnout of former players and fans. We have some improved players no doubt and several of the young guys will step up this year. The coaching staff is going about this the right way. If we keep recruiting the way we are it will speed up the success. The summer work will be very important. Has anyone heard any updates on Gordon or Lane? Does it look like they will return? I hope so but if not it's just an opportunity for someone else to reach their goals. I'm excited for the upcoming season. Work hard team! Work hard!

I'm a Vol fan and always will be! I'm excited for the game and the season. We won't be down forever. You can take that to the bank. I strongly believe we'll see a significant improvement this year.

This scrimmage will be a chance for some of the young guys to show their stuff. Also keep bringing in the recruits. Our coaching staff plus top notch recruits is a winning combination.
I hope this kid is given a chance. After that, may the best man win. He definitely has talent and if he were a little taller everyone would have been after him. Size helps but it's not everything. Work hard young man and remember the Teddy Roosevelt speech, "The man in the arena". There is no doubt regardless of what happens football wise, that you will be successful in life. It's also great to have young men with high character on our team and representing the university.

Ok....stay at home. I'll be there with my 3 kids. And we are planning on having a rather large time. Our blood runs ORANGE 24/7. That's just the way it is for a real VOL fan.

Franklin sucks and so does Vandy. He won't even be there in 2 years.The Mighty Vols however are on their way back!
We need a go to guy no doubt but Jacob Carter is an excellent receiver. Someone has to have the ability to go deep. Devrin will be a good hands guy as well. Maybe at least one receiver with speed will step forward along with a tight end. The line giving Worley time to find an open man will also help. A good running game will help the receivers get open too.
