I read the whole paper on-line (guess I'm a geek or something worse!!) and I think it is a crying shame we have only two comments on this article while we have so many comments on a lot of stuff that is so much less important in the grand scheme of things!!! Candace Parker is a credit to UT, our state, her family, and herself -- both on and off the court. I, for one, wish her well in the future, although I selfishly wish she woulld stay another year with the Lady Vols!!!
Candace, there are a whole lot of people our here that support your commitment to excellence in both the classroom and on the court. You have our admiration and gratitude!!

99gator, sorry I'm getting into this thing so late because you may be offline by now. BUT, when you seem to suggest that FL got the shaft by having LSU as one of their regular SEC West opponents, you should go back and look at what LSU was doing for the ten years preceding 1990, when the league was expanded. FL got off good campared to TN who got AL. My how times change!!! And, I, for one, think that's good!!

Please, Coach Fulmer, do not let any of these guys ever host another recruit. I know you have to assume that a tiger can/will change his spots, and that's fine, but let's not risk UT's recruiting and the image of the UT Football program on these guys!!! You know, there are still a lot of parents out there that do not think there four or five star athlete is capable of smoking pot!!! You have got to do your best to keep the UT Football pot smoking crowd away from the recruits.
On Fulmer disciplines Vereen, makes entire team run at 6 a.m.

99gator, it's not how you drive, but how you arrive that counts!!! Tennessee 12th in the country, Florida 13th or 16th (your choice)!!!

Hey, 99gator, we played the two teams ranked one and two in the country in the final poll, beating one of them like a bunch of "yard" dogs and barely losing to the other!!! Both beat the GATORS as I recall!!!!

After the SEC Championship Game Demonte Bolden said he "did not come to UT to come in second" -- a slap at Ainge -- the MVP of the Outback Bowl, in which Bolden was ineligible to play. Since we're counting on him so much for next year, I hope that even though he did not come to UT to attend college, he will at least go to class long enough to earn a "D" in sociology and underwater basketry weaving!!!!!!

Good luck!!!! If things don't work out in Big Blue country (and I agree that they are "one and done" with Woodson gone) maybe you can lay out a year and come home. Too bad that you could not come on now and not lose the years in Lexington.

I think we need to do the best we can with this recruiting class, but put it down as a transition year for a lot of reasons. No way we will be in the top 20 nationwide, so let's move on and not worry about it. Think about the teams that have beaten us the last several years without top 20 recruiting classes!! PLEASE, coach Fulmer do not let people like Gerald Jones host recruits. We do not need to waste recruiting visits and coaches time on players like Coker who you eventually will have to dismiss. When I sit in my seats in Neyland on Saturday I want the Big Orange to win as badly as anyone, but I don't want to do it with drug addicts and thugs who may not even be eligible the following week!!!

I know those of you who watch closely know we peaked at Memphis! I only hope we can regain that focus and run the table, but, unfortunately, that's not likely, given the history of college basketball teams peaking too early. GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!
