Losing today isn't a killer. Sometimes a loss right before the NCAA tourney begins can get the team into the right attitude, give them some valuable perspective. #1 or #2, either way this team has the potential to go all the way. On a given night the Vols can beat anyone if they will put it all together. 29-4 is elite company indeed...let's be proud, as we should be!
As far as Conference USA, it's really too bad that Knoxville Business College isn't a member -- they could have won the whole thing this year.

It wouldn't necessarily be a blunder at all. I want to keep Pearl as much as anyone does, but his Indiana roots are very strong and the IU job is one of the top hoops jobs in the nation. UT has shown that it is capable of hiring a top-notch champion coach so if Pearl leaves we simply do it again. Duke, Indiana, UCLA, North Carolina and Kansas are the five NCAA jobs that it is hard to turn down.

I have asked this question so many times recently that I'm getting hoarse, but here goes again: Why do poorly behaved supporters of lesser programs seem to feel the urgent need to come here? This is a Vol board. Why is that so hard to understand?

I bet at this exact moment the team doesn't even know who Memphis or Vanderbilt are. All they know about is Kentucky. As it should be for the fans on this board.

Vols are headed for an easy win. Vandy playing close through midway in 3rd quarter before fading. We beat them by 20 before and, face it, Vols today are much better than they were then. Not to jinx them out or anything, but I think we're looking at a possible blowout and certainly a total affirmation of the #1 ranking. Only thing that gives me the willies is that homecourt advantage Vandy gets because of their probably illegal court design, and of every coach in the nation Pearl is probably the one who would be least affected by something like court layout.
