Written on Mark Wiedmer: Phillip Fulmer takes responsibility, likes UT Vols coach Butch Jones:

Hard for him to watch practice? Hmmm, sounds like guilt to me. He should have been screaming bloody murder to see what was happening to our program....he didn't. He was lazy and lethargic...deal with it. Coaching?! No one wanted to hire him!! What an ego!! Go away Fulmer.....he wouldn't hire some young energetic assistants, afraid they'd steal the attention....this guys a piece of work. Thank goodness for Butch.

Written on John Adams: Phillip Fulmer needs to look in a mirror before assessing blame:

in response to ULTIMATEVOLUNTEER:

You are a moron. Laughing stock because of their girth? Last time I looked John Chavis is the same size.....nobody's laughing at him are they?

You must be a fat blob too....sorry to strike so close to home. Go have a donut chubby.

Written on Phillip Fulmer says administrative leadership at root of Tennessee's football fall:

in response to kazoo:

Fulmer is totally FOS. His comments totally lack class. He was by far the biggest reason for the program's deterioration--and now he tries to pretend that that wasn't the case. It's the administration's fault! Please--man up, dude. This was his problem in his last several years as head coach--always making excuses and sidestepping the blame. I've come to dislike the man.

It is always a risk to fire someone in the SEC, even a poor or mediocre coach, because the conference is so good and you never quite know what you're getting with the new guy. Kiffin would have quickly turned the program around--we just got very unlucky when Carroll suddenly resigned. I won't say that Dooley was a good coach, or might have been--but when he took over the SEC was probably the toughest it has been in 40 years. bama, florida and georgia were all top 10 teams--auburn won a national title; even kentucky, miss. state and vandy were much improved. When Fulmer took over, the SEC was not nearly as strong--florida was the only great team; georgia was decent but not exceptional, and all of the SEC west teams were in a trough==not good. I'm sorry Fulmer is so delusional--but I've come to expect it from Mr. Excuse Maker.

Brilliant comment! You sir are my new best friend....Fulmer stabbed Majors in the back and got what he had coming to him. He undermined Majors, who probably needed to go, but not how Fulmer did it. In D1 football, especially the SEC, you cannot take a year or 4 off....that fat turd stabbed UT, former players, alumni, and present students in the back.. No respect for the pig.

Written on John Adams: Phillip Fulmer needs to look in a mirror before assessing blame:

in response to UkJarhead:

Isn't this the same coach that won you a Championship and was in the SEC title game the year before he was fired? He won 6 SEC division titles, 2 SEC championships, a National Championship. He was 152-52. You people are nuts. What would you give to be in that position now? 100 years from now great men will write sonnets about how the Knoxville media and fans ran off a great coach. I just wish he would coach somewhere now and be successful. Be careful what you wish for...

Dude, everyone agreed Fulmer had his day...we are ALL saying his last 3-4 years were horrible! He quit! He became a fat slob, arrogant, lazy, and full of himself.

Written on John Adams: Phillip Fulmer needs to look in a mirror before assessing blame:

Thank you John Adams!
Perfectly said!! I've said from day 1 Fulmer had his day, but our digression falls in his lap...100%. He quit, got lazy, got fat, felt because he had a few good years that the kids would come to him...no chance. He's not that big of a personality to carry any program. He and many of his assistants were the laughing stocks of college football because of their girth. He was also guilty of not paying his coaches worth a damn....no recruiting means no success...thanks again Fulmer. We are where we are because YOU quit.

Written on John Adams: UT's upset-minded fans should have Georgia on their mind:

Butch Jones will get it done...just not this year. Our talent level is well below most of the SEC. Chances are slim we beat Georgia, Fla or S Car. No chance of beating Bama. Simply coached to well and superior talent and depth. Same with Oregon. We will battle with Vandy, Mizzou, and Kentucky.....BJ needs to get these guys battle game tested, experience is needed. A few turnovers here and there and we may steal a game we aren't suppose to win. I'm looking for a different attitude, a pride, a fight from this program that we haven't had for 5 or 6 years..starting under Fulmers last few years. A bowl game would be a great season.

Written on Mo Couch is Vols' third defensive lineman to get dinged:

The info on C Fugate and comments on Pig just goes to show UT has not recruited well. I've never felt Pig is a D1 receiver. Fugate has never really showed up on the map.
I love how Butch calls these guys out, almost embarrassing them...they have to realize that being mediocre is not acceptable at UT. The players need to start preparing now! Not game day morning. Every practice is vital.

Written on Mike Strange: A look at the Vols' rich legacy of junior college transfers:

Teams like Kansas St, Colorado, and Boise St have done quite well with a majority of their roster made up with JUCO players. More often than not these guys come in knowing they have 2 years to make an impact, to get noticed by the NFL. Great way to plug holes with a hungry player.

Written on Fulmer, Bowden, players to relive Vols' Fiesta Bowl win over Florida State:

in response to tovolny:

The play calling was done by Sanders with input by Fulmer I suppose. But, HEY, the "play calling" was right-on as far as I am concerned. The thing that I hate the worst about that game was that Cutcliffe lit out for Ole Miss when we needed him the most. Had he stayed, he would probably been able to do a better job at recruiting players other than QB's. He let the players down, the fans down, and himself down. Coach Cut was probably the reason that Peyton Manning came to UT. He held Peyton back and played too conservative for the Florida loses. He went to a bowl against Nebraska unprepared. And, you can't "what if" history, just the future. However, what if Lewis had been in in good physical condition in 1997...back to back NC's most likely.

Excellent comment.

Written on Fulmer, Bowden, players to relive Vols' Fiesta Bowl win over Florida State:

Does anyone think we lose that game if Fla St 1st team QB s not hurt and unable to play? No one was happier than I with that win but I was not impressed with Fulmers play calling. I know Sanders was OC but I'm sure Fulmer was holding back the reins most f the night.

Written on UT's coach the right man for Peyton Manning:

in response to Navaloranges:

Same old BS Troll TRYING to put a negative spin on a positive. The FACT is PM NEVER said aything like this...

“We all know the past few years haven’t been the most fun for the Tennessee football family and Coach Jones is determined to turn that around,” Manning said. “I believe that he will turn that around.”

...EVER, about Dooley. Manning was noticably more guarded in his choice of word when it came to Dooley, and NOW we know why. That's something only a UT football fan would notice, not POSERS like you, who only have an interest in DEGRADING and DEFAMING Tennessee Football. Manning has too much class to have said he was unsure about Dooley, but he obviously was, because he NEVER came out in early full support like he's doing now. The Posers/Frauds on this site, such as yourself, knew NOTHING of Dooley's fate, just like Manning didn't, but he was OBVIOUSLY more guarded about Dooley.

You only come on here to put down the program, it's coaches, it's players, and it's fans. You're a miserable person with NO LIFE, and you are certainly NO UT FAN.

Dirty Navel,
You're an idiot. For your uninformed, blind, stupid and belligerent information I've spent more time on that field than you'll ever comprehend.
People like you make me nauseous with your blind and moronic love for anything said about our beloved Vols. You hang your small hat, which fits your small head, which encases your small brain on anything said positive about UT. No one loves my former team more than I but grab a firm hold of your ears and pull your small head out of your big butt and understand the inconsequential interview that was. All I was saying is Manning basically said nothing that he didn't say about Dooley. What's he suppose to say? That's what I was referring to...so shut your fu****g mouth.

Written on UT's coach the right man for Peyton Manning:

in response to BIVOLAR_BEARE:

Well, it sounds like you are a TMZ fan or National Inquirer kind of fan..But, I've got admit I'd like to hear his response to the Kiffin debacle as well.

Hey Bipolar, take the stick out of your butt, you seem like the kind of guy inspired by anything a sports hero has to say. You probably still have posters of Manning on your bedroom wall.

Written on UT's coach the right man for Peyton Manning:

What else is Manning suppose to say? He also liked Dooley. Said he was the right man for the job, I like Manning but this is a silly article that means nothing. I'd rather hear Mannings opinion on Kiffin. Now that would be interesting.

Randy Sanders for HC. Has ET ties and deserves to be HC somewhere. (And he's not from California!)

Yeah, those Calif really suck A$5.

Now thats funny.....Thank you for the laugh. I was thinking the same thing.

Written on John Adams: Recruiting a running battle for Vols :

in response to OwensboroVol:

I don't want to hear it. Phillip Fulmer had no trouble recruiting when he was head coach.

Until his last 4 years when he got lazy.

Written on Fulmer says he'd be 'willing to help' ETSU:

I think Fulmer would take just about anything. I'm not a fan of this guy. I want him to go away. He had a nice run in the 90's no doubt. All the credit in the world there. But I will never forgive him for getting lazy, thinking kids would run to him. They didn't...we fell off a cliff because Fulmer got lazy. He's to blame for our downfall..no ifs ands or buts. He didn't keep young energetic coaches around for recruiting purposes. We got passed over night by other programs. I will never forgive him for that.
Please go away Fulmer.

Written on UT tells students not to paint Rock to welcome recruits:

How about this trade....students leave the rock alone and J Cheek and the other idiots leave football alone. They've done enough damage.

Well said Billy.

Written on Dave Hart: Tennessee's brand remains strong :

First off, I'm a huge UT fan, but facts are facts. The atmosphere at UT stinks. I wish BJ lots of luck. But with Hart and Cheek roaming the halls we are doomed. Hart flat out lied to you when he said Gruden had no interest...he in fact did. He wasn't cheap but he had interest...lots of it. The classless inept brain dead non Vol blood people making decisions for UT do not want it as bad as we do. Until they are out we will continue this run of pathetic athletic performance.

Written on Dave Hart: Tennessee's brand remains strong :

You staff people are socialists. The facts are facts....Hart is a bum. What are you people tryin to hide it for. You're bums too.

Written on Tyler Bray, Justin Hunter, Cordarrelle Patterson, Darrington Sentimore to NFL draft:

Folks, Sentimore has no where to go. He's not eligible academically. He's a low character person who cashed in his worthless chips. No way he gets drafted. He'll sign a free agent contract and get cut quickly. He was a non factor on a pitiful defense...he didn't do squat. Just being honest here. He received moronic advice....I suggest summer school and pray for a miracle.

Written on Cody Clay chooses Division II school over Tennessee:

Hmmm, Alabama wins 2 National Championships in a row, 3 in the last 4 years. Tennessee loses a OL recruit to a Div 2 school. Wow, talk about down times.

Written on Phillip Fulmer to be inducted into Chick-fil-A Hall of Fame:

in response to CarlChilders:

He lazy, you lazy too with your typing.

Congratulations to CPF for another well deserved honor!

Yes, my typing sucks....I was thinking faster than my ability to type. My bad. I still stand by. The fact Fulmer insulted a once proud program by getting lazy. I give him credit for a great run...but he let fans, alumni, himself, and former players down by getting fat and lazy. He deserves everything he got...including this dubious honor of this most ridiculous and embarrassing award.

Written on Phillip Fulmer to be inducted into Chick-fil-A Hall of Fame:

in response to born2ride:

We fired a hall of famer and 3 coaches later we are in worse shape.

Moron, the decline STARTED under Fulmer. He had nice run, he lazy (self admitted) and got passed up by several other SEC programs....Fulmer was the problem. Kiffin we got unlucky by the SC opening...Dooley was a last grasp find after we were rejected by 6 other coaches. Time will tell on BJ. Now shut your pie hole and think before you post.

Written on UT out? Gundy, Strong negotiating to stay at their schools:

Eat me a hole.

Written on UT out? Gundy, Strong negotiating to stay at their schools:

Hart should have camped on Grudens doorstep until we had him. Word is Hart was/is intimidated by Gruden. Well phooey, since when does the AD need to have a bigger presence than the head football coach? The head coach is the brand along with the program! Hart stepped in a pile of sheet by not no hiring Gruden....that was our man, instant credibility, UT back in the headlines....but nooooooo. Mr Hart has blown it. When will it end?

Written on Passion for UT, longevity part of Phillip Fulmer's claim to Fame :

So many posters here want to blame Hamilton, UT admin for wronging Fulmer. I choose to remember his good run in the 90's (when he had great recruiters as assistant coaches) and him quitting on UT when he put his own selfish ego in front of UT. Someone earlier mentioned Wyoming...he hit it on the head. Fulmer didn't know when to quit....instead he dug us a hole we are still digging out of.

Written on Jim Chaney: Vols still a little lethargic in practice :

in response to BolivrBob:

I'd like to see one of them get their hands on your worthless posterior

Hey Bob, put what little $$$ where your mouth is. I played the game at the highest level and have mixed it up with the best of me. Why don't you take you're worthless unathletic fat butt and shut your pie hole before you look like the south end of a horse going north. Wimp.

Written on Jim Chaney: Vols still a little lethargic in practice :

I don't understand this team. Lethargic? After what Kentucky did last year? And the way you played? And after your last performance vs Vandy? You're lethargic? Gutless, classless, no heart little female doges. Your femine napkins are on aisle 5....

Written on Tennessee players try not to focus on Derek Dooley rumors :

in response to tractoronthepole:

Bray should go on to NFL, he is as good as he is ever going to be. I think we have more upside and leadership waiting to play on the sideline with Worley.

You ever notice Bray and Worley rarely talk. I don't think they like each other.

Written on Tennessee players try not to focus on Derek Dooley rumors :

I see a lot of blame going to Dooley, and rightfully so. But when will it be realized that our players continually get beat by the opposing player. When a db is in man coverage or cov 3 they have one job...don't get beat deep. The d line never gets any pressure on the qb, we always lose contain in crucial situations, and our linebackers can never cover anyone out of the backfield. C'mon...blame the players for being lousy players as much as you blame Dooley for being a lousy coach.

Written on Tennessee's Bray responding well after warning:

Bucksnort. TB puts up big numbers the last two games and BS is unhappy. Ah, give him a hanky (a used one would be preferable). Better yet, let someone who cares go and get his face out of that nose candy he's been working on. I'll bet his kitchen table is lined out like a set of powdered prison bars, all ready for the booger chute. Vrooooommm!!!! There it goes!! Give this toasted wonder another few minutes, and he'll be ready to post again. Real quick, this boy.

What are you 11? You're an idiot. You're also obviously football non knowledgable. SMD

Written on Tennessee's Bray responding well after warning:

in response to baldingalum:

I see you posted two really mean-spirited comments about a 21 year old. He has done some stupid things, but I did too when I went to UT. Lighten up on him. Calling out young men, especially that young man - given all that he's had to deal with, is just classless.

Hey Baldy, playing qb at UT is a priveledge. He act as though it's his right....you sound like a wimp. If this board is to strong for you then I suggest you go to a lady vol board. Im sick of losing, especially the way we lose. Gutless...like your retort.

Written on Tennessee's Bray responding well after warning:

Brays a punk. Plays for numbers and not for Vol Nation.....hope he leaves early but problem is he isn't good enough. I hope a mean no bs coach straighten out our program!

Written on Tennessee's Bray responding well after warning:

The fact this punk needed a warning to play well for Tennessee tells you he is a skinny, low character, arrogant, little sheet. Give me a guy that puts it on the line for Tennessee. Who wants to play well for the big Orange. Yeah he's had 2 good games....lets see him close his pathetic career with some class.
