To everyone:
I just wanted to make sure because people are comparing UT football program to other football programs. When they should compare coaches at the same school with a similar situation. If Wingate got caught four times smoking joints and he got kicked off the team, then Colquitt deserves the same punishment. I know it is two different coaches but the same punishment should be dealt to all of the scholarship athletes. I think it just shows the difference between the discipline that each coach hands out. The difference is that Wingate was only hurting himself, whereas Colquitt was hurting himself and could have injured or killed a innocent human being.

Could someone tell something? Didn't Pearl Kick a player off the team for his fourth time for using illegal drug? I think he was a starter and a big guy, I just can not remember his name. At the time , I thought Pearl said that it was the fourth time and the Athletic Dept policy was the player was to be kicked off the team. If I got my facts correct, should Colquitt be kicked off the team. If I have the facts, wrong could some one correct me. Thanks.

I would agree that the academic standards are tough but Spurrier won there. For those who say don't go there because you can't win, you might have said that about Rutgers and Louisville a few years ago. Would you say that now? Lets look at USF who did not even exist 10-12 years ago and there are now winning. VA tech before Beamer got there was one of those schools people would have told that you were crazy if you wanted to coach there, I think it is a pretty good program now. As long as you can coach and find the right players for your system, you can win anywhere.

Yeah, I am sure that both Georgetown and Wisconsin was complaining about being in the same bracket with Davidson before the Tournament ever started.
It does not matter what your seed is if you are one of the elite teams in the country it should not matter what your seeding is. Davidson is in the elite eight and couple of years ago George Mason made it to the final four. They might have gotten lucky but if you play good defense, make your shots you will win games.
