YET, still nothing more than losses in the sweet sixteen or sooner ladies and gentlemen and that is why I am never bothered by Tennessee basketball because come March, they are an average team who can't get over the same hump they've been trying to get over for 100 years. Pride yourself on those regular season victories!

For the guy who has no idea why Memphis is ahead of Tennessee...obviously the pollsters look at the Overall and the fact of the matter is, is that Tennessee played better than Memphis one night and then go and donk off a game at Vandy who lost their following game. You can't say, "who did Memphis play, Southern Miss and UAB, we had to play Kentucky"....well idiots....UAB beat Kentucky so they are clearly a better team and Kentucky was playing without MEEKS and PATTERSON and were dominating that basketball game. Be quiet and understand the tournament is all that matters...I realize the tradition of Tennessee basketball just started, but you get no respect if you have NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER NEVER made an elite eight

Just because Tennessee beat Memphis does not in any way make them "better than Memphis." As Bruce Pearl said, he is not sure they are the best team in the country (cause he knows they aren't), we are just 40 minutes away from being number 1. Well, now the country saw why he said that. Because clearly they are not the best team in the country and it showed Tuesday night. Memphis got out-rebounded by 16, shot an even worse free throw percentage than they usually do (47%), and didn't hit one three after the 12:00 minute mark in the first half and WERE STILL WINNING WITH 30 SECONDS LEFT. Tennessee will have to run off 4 straight games to make a final four and its obvious they are not consistent enough to beat good teams on little rest (like the NCAA tournament). Tennessee was #1 for 29 hours and they will soon be forgotten as a number 1 seed. Learn how to be the best....I'm glad all the smith's get to feel like a bunch of idiot's now for talking about how they are the best team in the nation..

High School Gym? This just continues to show that some VOL fans know nothing....The FedEx Forum was voted the 3rd best arena in the entire country including pro stadiums...get a clue hillbillies

For all you dumb tennessee fans who do not think having players from your program go to the NBA is a big deal, it is. Kids want to be able to get to the next level like Memphis has been able to do. They don't want to end up like Pearl's players who struggle to make summer league teams and that is why you will ALWAYS trail Memphis in the recruiting circuit. Here is a quote from an AAU coach expaining that. "Right now, Memphis is one of those schools that a lot of kids across the country want to play at because of the style of play, the success, guys playing at the next level,"
And for those of you who don't think its important that the tigers made it far in the dance and "they are just the first loser," well you are wrong too as here is another quote for another AAU coach: "Every kid wants a chance to get down the road in the Big Dance, and Memphis' track record speaks for itself. They recruit hard. Recruiting is up to the guy out their working, and Memphis is working. Whoever puts in the most work gets the kid."
