Overrated is still trying to help Caliper Man figure out when he can use those two timeouts he saved from the championship game. Caliper said he checked and the expiration date on them said 12/31/2008.

I was at the game today and listened to Joe Fisher, the Vandy announcer - that's how bad I despise listening to Kesling. Fisher stated that Hamilton, in his coach search, is urging the incoming coach to keep two or three of the existing assistant coaches and specifically mentioned Chief as one of them. Kind of a strange approach by Mike and I've heard nothing of the sort out of Knoxville. Wonder if Fisher has a good inside source or just speculating?

Hey GladI'mNotYou - As long as the genius Calipari is coaching (?) the Tigers, you will have problems winning when it counts. BTW, has he used those two timeouts he saved from the Championship Game yet this year? You do get to keep them don't you - kind of like roll over minutes? Just wondering.

As everyone has noted - total poppycock - if they're going to try to sell us a line on the potential savings, at least give us credit for having enough sense to realize that the numbers don't add up. (As far as reducing the number of ushers - logical move, same thing restaurants do on a "slow" night.)
Pay toilets next AND . . . . wait until you get the e-mail from Hamilton about the need to increase football ticket prices so we can put a competitive team on the field (what's not said - and pay off coaches we no longer employ).

OK Bama987 - since you chose to come on our board to have some fun. I'm sure everyone down there is glad to see him go too. You can only hope that our next coach doesn't have the kind of success against the Tide that the crying coach did. You do remember the Tide's futility against him don't you?

Coleman used his redshirt year last year.

As a middle Tennessee Vol, NOTHING - absolutely NOTHING is worse that losing to Vandy. Fortunately, it's something that I've not had to endure much in my lifetime. But now with Vandy being BOWL ELIGIBLE (for the first time since 1982), I am sick of the constant Vandy love fest that is going on in the Nashville media. Thank goodness for the Titans success which has pushed some of the Vandy bandwagon to the back pages. However, in my opinion, this Crompton move just about guarantees a loss Saturday. How do you think BJ feels? He has watched the ineptitude of both Crompton and now Stephens - and the coaches still think that he's worse than both of them? Give me a break. He may not be able to throw it in the ocean but doesn't he at least deserve a chance? It's not like he's going to screw up and cost us a chance at a bowl game.

Singapore - maybe you don't get TV over that and I certainly don't want to turn this into a BB thread, but I believe #2 TN beating #1 Memphis last year on the Tigers home court to end all of their streaks would classify in most people's mind as a big win. Granted we didn't hold on to #1 for long as we lost a couple nights later at Vandy - BUT that wasn't your question. Also beat #1 Florida, etc. but when someone wants to make a negative point, the obvious answers never seem to be enough.

Shipperman - I find myself not often agreeing with you buddy but ABSOLUTELY YES KESLING NEEDS TO GO. He is just plain awful. And unlike Fulmer, Bob's hasn't been a steady decline over the last several years. Kesling was bad from Day 1 and hasn't improved at all. He's tolerable in basketball so throw him a bone and let him keep doing BB, but please bring in a new announcer with the new coach.
