Okay, if you could trade beating Florida and not making the NCAA for losing to Florida and making it to the Elite 8 three years in a row, which would you pick?

If you could pick an NCAA championship one year and not making the tournament the next versus missing the tournament 2 years in a row, which would you choose?

So what is my point? We don't get enough good players to regularly make a deep run into the tournament. I understand completely the trouble with recruiting rankings and number of stars. Not every All-American in college was a HS All-American. But just like in football, the rule is the better your players are in high school, the better they will be in college. Yes, coaching means something. Yes, male players continue to get bigger/taller in college (see David Robinson). But there is a reason that Duke, North Carolina, Indiana, Syracuse, Louisville, Kentucky, Kansas, Michigan St, Ohio St, and similar schools regularly make runs deep into March/April. Yes, good coaches, but you can't argue that they also get the top players.

This is what's called seeing the big picture folks.

Especially in this conference when he was left with a cupboard completely bare? I played college baseball, and I'll tell you this, freshmen and sophomores ain't beating seasoned vets very often. I know this is a sports site, but I couldn't resist. Back to basketball. What are the chances Vandy finishes off Ole Miss, and then loses to Florida, nudging Tennessee back in? Also, need Maryland to lose. Too bad it had to come down to this. Like someone said earlier, one more basket against Georgetown and we're not even having this conversation. One more win against anyone and I think they would have been in without any question. I'm expecting better things next year, and hoping for better this year!

I'm willing to gamble more 3 star athletes go to the pro's over time than 5 stars. Every year you hear about dozens of 5 stars who never are heard from again once college ball starts. Don't be over dramatic on someone rating a high school kid.

Not really much of a gamble there since there are hundreds of 3* players ever year and only a handful of 5*s.

Yes, it's an agenda you've had since the day Dooley was hired, or maybe since the day Fulmer was fired. Either way, you have cared more about the team losing so there'll be a coaching change than anything else. You're like the Republican congress -- They spent the entire time since they won the majority with the primary goal of getting Obama out of the White House, no matter what negative effects they had on the country -- block everything he tries to do, just to make him look bad. If you could do the same for Dooley, you would jump at the chance.

Dooley has had a career full of bad games. Spurrier has won more SEC games at USC than Dooley has won total games as a head coach.
