There's legitimate criticism to make against Fulmer. Problem is that Adam's argument logic was not legitimate and out of line. Than going into the heart of our two biggest rivals (perhaps he was on Florida radio as well, don't know) to draw attention to himself and his fire Fulmer mantra during a critical time of recruiting is beyond any standard of decency and good judgement.

You don't have to be a homer, but you don't have to actively work against the program either. He can't leave soon enough for me.

On Adams: No pro at predicting UT quarterbacks

Sounds like a lot of you all had GRIPE nuts for breakfast.

I'm with the General...I heard Adam's interview on Atlanta sports radio about the fire Fulmer article. Was as weasily and low class as anything I've ever heard. You could tell he was just reveling in the attention.

Pay him no mind, as one poster said, he's basically just admitting that he has no idea what he's talking about when it comes to QB and football.

If he can stay healthy he's got a ton of upside. Had he been able to play last year he might of made 1st round. Brad's brother and the other TE studs we've got are going to thrive in Clawson's offense. Come on football season!!!

On Cottam picked by Kansas City

General,
I think that's a fair assessment of Ainge's career. I thought we were peaking in 2004 and 2005 was going to be special...well it was special all right. I thought Ainge would own the job over Shaeffer and light the world on fire...well he got one of two. He's a good kid and a very good college QB. He picked apart a good Big 10 defense in the Outback and was showing the form we would have seen had he not had a bum shoulder from the spear in the Cal game and a broken pinky.

He'll stick with a pro team and will have a reasonably long career...just don't know if it will be as a successful starter or a clip board holder...but either way that would put him in elite TN QB company.

On Mayo ready to be part of tradition

I'll take my chances with a Junior College transfer a RS Soph and a wide reciever. Believe this game will jump start the assualt on the season interceptions, number of pick 6 and return yards records.

Olson better bounce back quick before he turns 30.

This is setting up quite nicely.

On Two UCLA QBs injured in practice

If the General is similar in critique standards as TDTN, then this is a very positive report. I was hoping to hear that Crompton sounds solid.

It was mentioned in passing in a previous thread but I've been thinking that it explains much of the issue with Cutliff's run offense...I'm not sure Cutcliff is very good at the running game coordination and when we can't simply out talent the competition he's got nothing else. If he's not good at the running game and his running backs coach is also not so good (Roper), then perhaps coaches who are better at that aspect of the game can take these same guys to another level, assuming that these coaches are more compitent in designing and managing game day running game.

Cutcliff always falls back on what he's most comfortable with which is passing with a top QB talent.

I will be greatly surprised if Clawson's offense matches 2005 given the difference in his resume compared to Randy Sanders. Clawson has actually demonstrated excellent success in difficult situations multiple times. Randy was a career position coach with potential but unproven who was expected to execute Cut's offense without Cut's ability. We've already seen that the model of success in lower tiers can translate to success at D1 level. From what I've seen, I fully EXPECT Clawson to be another successful example of that model.

On Zach Rogers still weighing recruiting options

Given the abundance of WR riches we have recently amassed with more on the way with Stokes and possibly the Memphis kid, I would not blaim him if he considered alternatives that might give him a better chance to make the field. Hope he signs. I'm a fan of Austin and believe he'll improve his catching form.

I thought this was a football forum not the comment section for the Jerry Springer show.
