Is anyone else tired of the "these are the people that never played the game that are complaining" comments. That's what is so sad about the current state of things. The failures are so obvious to those of us who never played!!! It doesn't take a former D1 player or coach to see that we are unprepared, out schemed, over matched, out coached, and not properly motivated. This team is as tight as a rubber band stretched from Knoxville to Memphis. We play in anticipation of our next mistake. We play "not to lose" instead of with confidence and aggressiveness.

There will be no repeat of 2007. We won't score on Auburn's defense. GA will put a beat down on us after what we did to them last year...they'll put up 40. Alabama will win by 20 too. The ole ball coach will get some vindication and pile on when we play South Carolina. And then Vandy will be the final dagger. Will that be enough to bring about any change?..one can only hope. I feel for the players, would never wish anything bad on them. There appears to be some talent on this team. But it's time to freshen things up with some new blood and fresh perspective/philosophies. We haven't had a "attacking" mentality in many years. Coach Phil has done a respectable job for us over the years...but it is time for a fresh look. Living outside of TN, I can say with absolute conviction that we have the least respected coaching staff in the SEC. The game has passed us by. It's been gradual...but it's finally caught up with us. The jabs at our staff from our fellow SEC fans come so fast and furious, they can't even be defended anymore. To me, when you can no longer even pretend to defend your program, you have hit bottom.

Nothing will change until people start talking with their $$. Don't support a bad product and that product will change.

“These are things that are fixable,’’ Fulmer said.
Well how about fixing them before the season starts for ONCE. Why do I feel like Charlie Brown trying to kick the football and Lucy keeps pulling it away? Yeah...we'll fix it about game 7 when we have 3-4 lossses and the season is in the tank and then win 7-8 games and give Fulmer an extension.
How about stepping up for once.

The players made some mistakes, but don't blame them for this one. Our coaches didn't put them in positions and play calls to be productive.
This was all lack of coaching...period. We're never prepared to start the season and we have no ability to make in game adjustments. We have a new quarterback struggling to throw downfield, but we're rushing for 5 yards a carry. So what do we do? We keep throwing downfield.
Our defense is on fire all game...we know they can't run the ball. But all of sudden we start letting them throw intermediate routes and march down the field. How about we take that away and see if they can beat us deep one time. That kid was one more INT from getting benched and we made him into a new UCLA hero...all in the span of 1 quarter.
We had better players/athletes at about every position on the field. We got outcoached...again.

Normally this game would worry me (a potential blowout), but this team has the "scar tissue" to face a battle like this tonight. I don't know if we'll win or lose, but it's going to be a great game that goes down to the wire.
One thing no one is really talking about is we're 4-1 against this year's Sweet Sixteen...and all those games were on the road or at neutral sites.

Let Ramar run point and let it be. Don't have him looking over his shoulder. Let him play. He will step up. JP is NOT a point guard. Bad attitude, no ball control, can't dribble or shoot, bad decisions. JP is great as a 6th man for his intangibles...but you need a true PG this time of year and Ramar is the best option you've got. It's 15 games too late to experiment.

That was pitiful. We're lucky to still be playing.

People mad they lost a $5 bet on the game?...what??? you sir are more out of touch than I thought. If it was about winning bets, then we'd all be happy. Anyone with half a brain and follows the TN trend of not covering point spreads (whether they played the game or not) had their money on FL. Sir, this is about a fan base having lost pride in their program and lost the ability to even try to defend their program against their fellow SEC fans. It's sad when you can't wear your own schools colors with Pride. Be glad people are ticked off...because Apathy comes next. When that happens and people start talking with their wallets, the boos will be missed.
